Hi Donna, The birds seem to know, they dont bother with the Oleander, they stripped the Protea of all the seeds.They come every year about this time. I had 20 of them in a Banksia tree last week
Hi Jan, Yes the Oleander is a dwarf variety, and yes its has the same problems as the larger variety, the birds seem to know they dont bother with it.
Big cockies, can be destructive with a very big strong bill. The pink eye ring is the male and female has grey eye ring.The plants they are munching on are Erium Oleander -pink
and Leucospermum Cordifolium [ Pincushion Protea ]
The Willy wagtail Mum, feeding her chick, usually hard to catch with camera they are so quick and agile.
