Low light sports. Football and basketball and volleyball.

I have been using the cannon rebel t3 for 4 months and It took great pictures. But since its black Friday... is the nikon d3100 better than cannons rebel t3 for sports and portrait photography? The cannon came with a 18-55mm & 75-300mm lens bundle and the nikon comes with a 18-55mm & 55-200mm vr lens bundle. Would it be better to go with the nikon even though its zoom isn't as far as the cannons 75-300mm?
