When I took the first pic it was to show the whole cake, it wasn't going to be eaten until later that night after sundown. I wasn't thinking about the second shot until the next morning when I have beautiful light in my kitchen. So after everyone got out of my hair so to speak I started playing around. However by then the cake had been hacked into and didn't look as picturesque as I wanted it, so I turned it around so it would look better. I am making a smaller version today but with mixed berries but again it's for company so it won't be cut till tonight! Lol

Trying my hand a baking and photographing staging is the hardest part. I can say the cake is amazing!
