While in Alaska, I found it much better to just use two cameras,... and to not swap lens! One with a wide angle, and the other with the zoom. It is amazing how often you will want/need both simultaneously!
You could do as I did... I bought a 32inch TV, with a USB port. Put your favorite photos on a thumb drive(s), insert into the port on the TV, set it to play the photos as a 'rotating' wall photo display! I love seeing the photos of our scenic travels, every time I walk it!!!
