Blink was budget friendly and quite adequate for my needs. No hardwire needed. Installs easily. There are sensitivity adjustments as well as scene exclusions. Indoor and outdoor cameras. operates through wifi to a home base. Records, notifies phone, shows current scene and has both mic and speaker for off site discussion and allows off site review of recorded videos. Can be armed and disarmed. Have had it a year and a half and am quite satisfied. Would buy it again and am considering adding a camera or two to the system. Haven't had to change batteries yet. It's not a big deal but I don't like having to disarm it right before I get home to avoid a multitude of notifications and recordings of my arrival. You can pay for external storage of videos offered by blink or use a memory card and avoid the monthly fee. night vision is adequate but not great. The app for phone is a blink app.

I think they have their routine down although they should finish eating before dance begins.

My second go at this as there was some question as to what "normalized photos" taken out of a 360 pic meant. I just grabbed a couple "normal" photos out of a quick shot of my back yard. I will also post what you get when you keep the 360 photo. I have just started to learn how to use it but it sure seems to have a lot of potential. I posted 3 of these on the original post from a few days ago but thought I would post them in the gallary as a new digest topic. No editing was done other than to pull out a pic from the original post using the insta360 studio app.

same distortion as any wide angle lens and probably with editing that can be improved.

What does a "normalized" 360 image look like? Anything like the examples below ?

Just a few quick snaps with a normalized images taken out of the same 360 photo. You can also take them out of the videos. My back yard.

Reminds me of working with the 6mm fisheye. Tried it, didn't like the image effects. Glad I just rented the lens.

The nice thing about this camera is it takes photo or video of 360 then you can go in and pick out what you want to capture after the fact in a normal frame without distortion.

Having never paid attention to 360 cameras, you just got my attention! I may need one of those more than I thought!

Just got mine and the first few hours learning and seeing results have been positive.

I have the Insta 360 x3. This is my third 360 camera. I love it. I have taken it all over, Africa, Cuba, Italy, Iceland. It is fun to play with. While I am good with a single image, I am still trying to master videos.

Here are a few of my images.

Thanks. Nice pics

There have been some discussions on here about them. Try doing a search. But my number one piece of advice from using mine is to make sure you have the computing power to process and edit the videos.

I did the search. Thanks for the suggestion

I use a Ricoh Theta Z1 regularly to produce virtual tours for real estate - very easy to use with impressive results. I'm sure the insta 360 will provide comparable results

Thanks for response

I haven't seen any discussion on 360 cameras but have decided to get the insta360 x3. I would be interested in anyone's experience with the x3 or any other 360 cameras. I really like the idea. We'll see if I end up liking the fact.

It's been a little over 50 years since I've heard that. I don't know where my copy of the album went but I appreciate the reminder. Arlo actually lived here in Billings for a while according to rumors of the day back in my time.

My wife grew up on a farm/ranch/homestead a few miles out of Valier. This pics are a great reminder of her heritage.

I've taken pictures of Swans for some time. They are always so majestic and proud looking, and usually totally oblivious to what's around them, particularly us humans...

Beautiful setting for beautiful bird.
