Suprised!

It actually works as advertised. Got my Trigger trap dongle and cable in the mail today (took 30 days). Hooked it up to the iphone and tried all the features. Tested them all except the Tesla and everything worked. If you have a iphone it's a very cool app. Triggertrap.com cost for app and cables $20.00

Macs - What Kind

I use a Mac Book Pro 13". I have a MiniServer with 27" monitor but use the laptop 95% of the time.

Just got back from Best Buy, picked up a new Powered 4 port usb
device. and it is running my 2 external drives plus my printer.
So problem solved. Thanks to all for feedback.

the defective one was labeled "Gear Head" self powered 120VAC and of course made in China.

Plain and simple. Folks don't realize that when they see a product that they feel will solve their USB needs.

If you have a spare slot in your PC, just put in another USB Card and get 2 to 4 powered slots.

I am running a MacBook Pro laptop with 2 external drives. Bought a small 4 usb port adapter which is self powered(it plugs in) when using it for the 2 drives sometimes both boot up but most often only one will show up on desk top. Disk utilities will show only the one drive. If I go under the apple and check system under usb it will list both drives. I want to have both drives up at the same time, now if i unplug my printer and use the 2 usb ports on the laptop they both boot up. Any ideas?

Are you sure this is correct? I think you can save raw to one and Jpeg to the other. According to my manual you can.

Canon 5D mk3 has 2 slots 1 for CF cards and 1 for SD cards

Perfect Portrait Lens?

Had the Sigma 85 1.4 very crisp sharp images. Got interested in Macro and bought the canon 100mm f2.8 IS Macro and found it takes great portraits also. If you go to full frame a little known lens the canon 135 f2.0L is the least expensive of the L lens (around $800 at KEH) and it is very highly rated for portrait work. I sold my 85MM to finance the 100mm and I can do both with it.

Marital Advice Needed

I would use the old memory thing. Just get it then tell her that you both had agreed to it a while back. She will obviously be embarrassed to admit she forgot the conversation or the bit about getting it to help her with her NEW mac. How bad can it be you will still have a shiney new toy in the doghouse!
