We chose this tour because of their Zodiac boat tour. We were able to get in closer and zip away faster to other potential whale spots. Our guide was a vet becoming a marine biologist and knew a great deal about the whales. Apparently there are over 3000 whales in the Cabo area migrating there in the winter to mate and give birth around western peninsula, Baja California Sur. I used a Canon 28-300 and should have used the Tamron 150-600 I had on hand. They are a little soft but still pretty good. We spotted 8-10 whales. After seeing one from our room, we were hoping for a full breach. Next time. It was an exciting trip!

This one I changed the sky in PS.

Nice shot of the barn. The ones I saw growing up in NC are a bit different. I didn't recognize it as a barn for hogs.

Thank you for the kind comments, Dodie! I love the Bighorn and hope to get up to the CNM again soon or before school starts back. I am a senior in the music dept at CMU and graduate in May. So, yes, hoping for a big year and one for you, too!

They try to keep the road open as much as possible for Glade Park residents. I was usually up on the Monument twice or more every month to set up my telescopes at the helicopter pad. I usually drove up from the Fruita side. There is lots of wildlife up there as you already know. You did an excellent job capturing these sheep.

Thank you. They are so much fun to see and watch. I bike sometimes on Glade Park. Love that store up there with the Boston Terriers and the ladies who run it. Reminds me of Garrison's Store in Morganton, NC. Gramps would take us there for a "coolie" and dig it out of those old fridges.

Very much above the average shots of Bighorns, 'note. Kudos.

Last time I was in CNM the switchbacks on the western side were scary as hell. Glare ice on the curves along that --what? 9% downhill grade?-- had me puckered up a little. Even in 4WD.

Thank you for the kudos. Yes, we had the truck in 4 wheel drive for most of the time. Usually there is a gate up when there is a lot of snow and ice but it was open. Otherwise there wood have been no photos
