Looking at the shot I think there was enough movement while taking the picture to cause the slightly out of focus condition. That being said, I think it was still pretty good for a 1/30th shutter speed. Trying to sharpen the picture in PP will introduce pixilation which might be construed as grain. Just a thought.

This will be the results when there is insufficient light available. In a low light situation you need a higher iSO setting and/or a faster lens. It's all about getting sufficient light to the sensor at whatever shutter speed you are using.

At this point it seems that the entire exercise was another attempt by Obama to change the conversation but it again backfired on him. I think it is karma! Regarding the swap of prisoners: he got snookered ....again. Obama is completely out of his depth with trying to run our government, and his "Team" is almost as bad as he is. It's like the gang that could not shoot straight. Plain and simple: they are incompetent. The only one happy about Obama's performance is Jimmy Carter who will no longer hold the distinction as the country's worst performing President. We desperately need a new Congress to put a stop to Obama's damaging edicts. He is totally out of control.

So right; I failed to report to the IRS paying someone for helping me move. Everyone else does that. For example, I am sure if you have ever bought something from a neighbor, you made a report to the IRS. Cheating everyone else? Of what? Given the kid's lack of income, I probably cheated the federal government of absolutely nothing. Why don't you drop dead, Vomit?

Nastiness has no place in our debates.

Are saying in a round about way that increasing the minimum wage will result in unemployment?

Quite possibly it will be the cause of greater unemployment among small business OWNERS. When a shop cannot sell its services for a sufficient profit to cover the overhead costs and provide a competitive return on the owners investment, the owner will likely cease operations. However, before ever getting to that point, the owner will first reduce overhead by reducing the number of employees, which are usually the largest component of overhead. A pretty good example of what happens when the overhead gets too bloated is the automobile industry fiasco we all just lived through. The only industry that does not have to contend with the unforgiving laws of the market place is government employment, and that's because the government has the ability to just raise more taxes.....that is until the taxpayers say "no more!" as has happened more then a few times in history.

I was right. Seattle just recently agreed to raise the minimum wage to 15 dollars. People are waking up. When others realize the benefits of a living wage?

I believe that Seattle will be an excellent example of what happens when the minimum wage is artificially inflated. Example: As soon as Obama changed the minimum to $10.10 for Federal related operations, all the fast food shops announced that they are closing their on-base stores and relocating to off-base sites. That type of operation just can't handle the increase in labor cost and maintain their menu prices. Seattle may very well experience the same thing, or some variation of it.

How true, DP! I think Obama should have let him stay over there and rot in an Afghanistan prison. Is that what you really want to hear? Nothing this president does will be ok with the fringe.

From the info that is becoming available it seems that "B" was actually not a prisoner, but a guest that enjoyed playing Badminton with his hosts, helping cook the meals, and pretty much having the run of the areas where he was living. Certainly not POW treatment as we have known it. My guess is this Deserter has tired of the relative shabbiness of the third world existence of the Talibans, and would like to return home. Our current Administration may be willing to give him a pass on his shameful actions, but the comments from the patriots that actually served with him will tell the story to the public.

Welcome to UHH.

Pay workers more, we spend more. When we spend more, more jobs are created.

The "prices will go up and jobs will be lost" excuse is ridiculous, as you say. It is counter-intuitive and illogical.

Mike

If that premiss was a valid one our government should provide a credit card to every newborn at birth and fund it with $100,000 a year. That way the USA would be the most prosperous country in history. Hmmmm wait a minute....where would the government get the money to give away? That's the problem with government socialism...eventually it runs out of other people's money.

I'll keep this short and sweet. The minimum wage needs to be no more or less than 15 dollars an hour. That whole "prices will go up and jobs will be lost" excuse is ridiculous. CEOs quintuple their salaries every year and nothing happens. Preventing blue collar workers from starving between paychecks is not gonna kill anyone. Either raise the minimum wage to a decent, reasonable level or get rid of it. That is all...

Here is the reply to that premiss: If I need to have a job done that literally "anyone" can do, and jobs are difficult to find, as they are now, there will be many, many, more people vying for those jobs. People with higher education for instance, and older workers that are on early retirement etc.
Employers will naturally fill those jobs with the highest level of people available, thereby eliminating the workforce entry level opportunities for those who have nothing special to offer.
If a potential worker can never get a start, how will they ever become employable? If one wants to see a model of that scenario take a look at India, Haiti etc. Years ago I was visiting Haiti to scout business locations. I stayed at a hotel that provided a Doorman, and while I was waiting for my ride I had a conversation with that Doorman. It came out that he had earned an Accounting degree, but until someone with that special training passed away or left the country he had no chance to get hired as an Accountant, and as a matter in fact he had to wait 2 years to get hired as a Doorman. In the USA Entry Level jobs are just that; a starting position. A place to learn how to function successfully as an employee, and as experience is gained with the work process and education is obtained, they can become qualified for more meaningful work and can move up in the workforce. Employees are generally paid what their work product is worth to the employer in his effort to make a profit. It's a hard truth, but if you are not contributing to making a profit for the operation that is paying you, then you are not needed.

"The reason for the 2nd Amendment was mainly for civil protection against a rouge government."

There was no political communism in 1787, so no one foresaw the need to defend against rouge, scarlet, or any other kind of red government. Besides that, whether to protect against communism or not, if the intent is not articulated, it is unimportant compared to the actual words in any legal measure. Finally, neither actual meaning nor the intent are sacrosanct. The Constitution created an undemocratic government, and that was partly corrected through the 13th and 19th Amendments. The major factor in determining any policy and law should be what we need, not what was the original intent. If the Second Amendment causes harm, it should be adjusted to our needs, not the words and intentions of some slave-owning, misogynistic Founding Fathers.

Uh...I think he actually meant "rogue" not "rouge."

Guns are a tool. As with any tool they must be used with care. Many more people are killed by drunk drivers. Do we agitate to do away with automobiles, alcohol, and now legal Pot? I'm just saying.

I travel quite a bit and favor using a solid state Hard Drive and a tablet to store my pix while on tour. The SSD is light, compact, reliable, rugged and very fast. Having this system along with me allows sorting into categories, editing etc after a days shooting.

The "Re-acquisition" by Russia of the Crimea makes one wonder about other potential Re-acquisitions. Perhaps one day we will be faced with Mexico demanding that portions of Texas and California rightfully belong to their country. There is now certainly sufficient Mexican's in those States to constitute a loud minority to petition for such a change. I'm just saying.....

You people are a riot. Obama is a socialist dictator, but he's a pussy for not declaring war on Russia. So exactly what would any of you clowns have done in his place? If you're so sure Obama is so weak, tell us what you would have done.

Perhaps a reasonable answer to the question that you pose is that if Obama had not displayed such temerity and vacillation in previous official acts we would not have faced the naked aggression which Putin has very casually visited upon Crimea. We are witnessing a historical replay of events of 1937-1940 in the same geographical area. Only the name of the aggressor and appeaser has changed.

Sadly, a unknowledgeable electorate has twice put our country in this regrettable position. We have another two and a half years of experiencing this National slide into oblivion. The world senses the turmoil the USA's incompetent government is in and is responding accordingly. The really big shoe that threatens to fall is our financial system. For historical reference read up on the German Government after WWI and England's after WWII to see where our country is heading.
