On the Lightroom website, it states that you need Windows 10, 64 bit. Also, although iLR will work with 8 megs of Ram, 16 megs is recommended on Windows 10.

I think that the future is mirrorless. Personally, I prefer DSLRs. I have a Fuji XT2 and several Fuji lenses. In MHOP, I do not think that they compare to thirty year old Nikon lenses that I had been storing. I bought a used Nikon D750 full frame to use the lenses and, quite frankly, the pictures are far superior to the Fuji. The Nikon DSLR and lenses are heavy but give better results. If you are buying new equipment, then mirrorless may be the way to go. I have a small Leica Type 109 and the pictures are quite good. If you buy a mirrorless camera, other than a full frame camera, or a Crop sensor DSLR, you not only will face a crop factor of 1.5 or 1.6 as to the focal length, you also will lose f stops. In other words, if you buy a 50 mm lens for a crop frame camera, it will act like a 75mm lens but your true aperture also will be approximately f2.8 or less.

In short, mirrorless cameras are, for the most part, lighter, and the lenses are smaller, particularly on a camera with an APC sensor or micro 4/3. Right now, there are not a lot of lens choices for full frame mirrorless cameras.

If the object is stationary, it really does not matter. If you are focusing on a person and the person moves, you may lose your focus. That said, I always have pressed the shutter half way after I focused on the person and then moved the canters to frame it properly. You have received some very good advice down below. There are other options depending on the camera that you have if you have a moving subject such as a child or pet.

I have used Wasabi chargers for years. You can charge more than one battery at a time. I have an XT-2 and the battery life is it’s weakness. This way you can have extra batteries with you when you are shooting.
