That's your prerogative to disagree, no matter that I feel that you as well are wrong. But as these are just opinions and everyone has one...

I feel that most of the blame can be laid on the public school systems, That just teach to a particular standardized test. A standardized test that's required by that particular State's Education Board. Which says that all students must pass or the school fails and therefore loses money/funding.

On a brighter note, do you really what anyone that "dumb" (your description, I might have used naive)working in a company that you rely on for your livelihood/employment with?

As an example I was conversing with a young fellow the other day, and found out he couldn't write cursive or tell time from any clock other than a digital one, nothing that had any time hands on it anyway. If it said 9:05 he was OK if it looked like _/ he was lost. BTW ... this young man was working in a garage, fixing very expensive sports cars and my Mercedes. So he wasn't dumb by any meaning, just poorly educated by the current school systems.

no,no,no ! I would wait til the Nikon 5200 comes out. then think about getting one. It seems to be much better as far as speed , megapixel and such . They're talking 5fps and 24 mega pixel blah blah . I JUST got the 5100 a month back and because of what the 5200 is capable of I'm a bit ticked cause I didn't wait ,
When you get the camera , any camera , fill out the papers or go online and register it , I love mine and truly am not worried about how long its going to last .

The D5200 is supposed to be released in the US in January of 2013. I can't believe they wanted to miss the Christmas shopping season, must have been a problem.

Maybe hold off on the D5100, until the D5200 is released next month. Just in time for Christmas. They may drop D5100 prices even a little further

The Nikon D5200 comes as a replacement to the D5100. The D5200's improvements over its predecessor include a newly-designed 24.1-megapixel image sensor and an improved autofocus system. Aside from a new Expeed 3 image processor, users will also experience a whole new in-camera graphical user interface as well as an addition of an inbuilt stereo microphone. Capable of recording full-HD movies in 1080p, the camera does 5fps in burst mode shooting and sports a 921k-dot, 3-inch articulating display.
What's New

24.1-megapixel CMOS sensor: Boasting an ISO range of 100 to 6,400 (expandable to 25,600), the newly-developed 24.1-megapixel DX format CMOS sensor coupled with an enhanced Expeed 3 image processor promises better image quality in low light.

New in-camera user interface: Nikon has implemented a new graphical user interface which gives users a quick overview of the current camera settings, along with three key settings, shutter speed, aperture and ISO, represented by three onscreen dials.

Improved autofocus system: Equipped with a 39-point autofocus system, the user can choose between using different groups of focal points and even using 3D tracking to maintain a focus lock on moving subjects.

Uncompressed HDMI output: The new dSLR will be able to record full-HD videos with uncompressed HDMI output, which means videographers will be able to get the highest possible quality video files.

Inbuilt stereo microphone: The camera now sees the addition of a stereo microphone which will provide you with higher quality audio recording when shooting videos.

That 100,000 actuation's is just an average, some make it all the way to 150-200,00 clicks and some only get to 5,000 clicks. But if it's that few, the body should still be under warranty!

Really? Those foreground silhouettes are about 1/4 of a mile away from where I was shooting from. And for a 50mm f/1.8I think they are perspective!

This started my day out with a lot of laughs. You're barking up the wrong tree. The schools I attended were generally regarded as either the best in the country (prep school) or among the best in the country (college and graduate school). The upper class private schools you attended obvious did a bad job of educating you. Maybe they were great schools and your lack of critical thinking development was your fault, not theirs. The fact remains that you are deficient in critical thinking.
'
I might also add that you note that you are a wounded veteran, as though this is some kind of qualification. You're not the only one around here who has been in the military.

Getting wounded does not improve your political thinking. If I had to choose between military thinkers, I would choose Colin Powell over you any time.

According to you a no account left wing liberal Loser.
JFYI ... I never attended any public schools in my academic career. strictly upper class private schools, (from grades K-12 where I graduated Magna Cum Laude from my high school and # 76 out of a class of 1052 in my Academy graduating class. You on the other hand were probably a Head Start dropout, who rode the short bus to school!

Why do you think he is a socialist? What have you been reading or watching..Faux News? Anytime someone starts in with that socialist rant it speaks more about the person spouting the term than the President's actions. From my experiences in dealing with many people during this election cycle I have come up with sort of a multiple choice answer to the question Why do you think the President of the United States is a Socialist?

Here are the answers:

A.Health Care... I believe the President of the United States is a Socialist because he is forcing people to take responsibilities for their health care by making them buy insurance. Which can also be coupled with..he is forming DEATH PANELS that will determine who lives and who dies when you get sick. This answer can adapted by frightened inept doctors and drug manufacturers who can see the handwriting on the wall that their days of excessive billing are nearing the end.

B.Auto Industry...I believe the President of the United States is a Socialist because he took over the auto industry. This is a popular answer everywhere but where the people have jobs related to the automotive industry. The people who choose this answer are either very stupid that is to say ignorant of the devastation a traditional bankruptcy would have caused or they are using this as a cover story for the fact that they are afraid of black men in power.

C.Government Regulation...This answer is very popular with people who don't understand that the government is the only thing keeping feces out of their food and water. That the safety inspections at energy facilities like oil drills and coal mines keep people safe. These people don't realize that without government regulation and safety standards for the workplace every day on the job could be riskier than a day on the battlefield. They have forgotten that an employer is only after one thing and that is profit.

So which of the above answers do YOU relate to? Let me share one final thing with you. Unless you are at the very top of the income levels in this country and I don't mean you are comfortable I mean you are really affluent, all of the actions you label as socialism will benefit you directly in your lifetime. So you can stop being the jerk you appear to be and give into the fact that the black guy doesn't A) hate you for being white, B) has no interest in your wife or daughter, and C) has no plans to round up the white people and use them for slaves.
