I used Shadows and Highlights for the third photo. Think it looks better?

You are a very pretty and gorgeous Lady with such a genuine, Lovely smile. And your Mum is just gorgeous! I am sure she must have broken many a heart in her youth! Do tell her that there's a guy called Cecil who praises her for her guts, courage and take all her problems with a smile - and of course, beauty - naturally!
With Best Wishes

Is this any better? I used Levels and got out the colour of the river into a more natural blue!

Hi Yaro, I consulted a good friend of mine, Group Captain Wajira P who graduated from the RAF Cranwell, (the world's leading Air Force training Academy) as an Aeronautical Engineer in the Air Force, and here's what he had to say:
The 'trail' of the propeller is the tip vortex, which is formed by the pressure difference between the front (low pressure) and rear (high pressure) of the two surfaces. The high pressure air flows into low pressure side at the propeller tip, forms a vortex with even lower pressure at the centre, which cools the air and causes condensation of the moisture in the air. The trail is this condensation. As the propeller rotates, and the aircraft moves forward, the tips move in a spiral, which is visible in the photo. This must have been a humid day, and in any case, over a lake, air should be quite humid.
Wajira
Hope this helps

Koalaroo, does this look any better?
Cheers

PS
What does 'Koalaroo' mean?
Insufficient light?

I like the first pic! I think that at the end of the day, it should be what pleases your eye! The first pic gives the entire scenario. The rule of thirds, I believe, is ONLY a guideline!

Hi Maggie, Lovely photos. I have just darkened the yellow foliage in the background of the first shot - very subtle. Does it make any difference?
Cheers
