Have the Canon T3I with a 18-55/50mm/Sigma 18-250. People want to buy me one more lens for Xmas. How about the 10-18? $299 new...$239 refurb. Might come in handy with my 05/2016 "Utah 5" trip!?

I have been through the Smokies several. If you have not done so...go to Ebay and put in Gatlinburg lodging and several timeshares will show up. If you do not see a place that has your dates....contact a seller that has properties in the area and see if you can work with him.
The best "shot" in the entire area is in Maggie Valley.

I'm going to Yellowstone for a week starting May 22 this year. The last 10 days have been rain in the park.....the next 10 also predict rain! This past Saturday.....it SNOWED in most of the park! Looks like May in Yellowstone is like March in Illinois!?

We all go on vacation hoping for GREAT sunny weather days. I have 7 days in these two areas. What do my fellow photography people do on rainy and/or cloudy days? Continue to shot and hope they come out ok?

Thanks to all of you for your great replies. Almost makes me want to sell the 55-250 if not BOTH the Canon lenses.

Got a Canon T3I for Christmas and 3 lens for gifts. Canon 18-55 and 55-250. I also was given a Sigma 18-250 lens. Going to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone in May....do I need to carry all 3 or will one lens be enough?
Thanks!
