Thanks, Heirloom and sleepdrdr. I should explain that there are two types of iguanas. The yellow ones and black and orange ones are land iguanas, while the black ones with green and red splotches are marine iguanas.

On another thread, KotaKrome encouraged me to post some of my iguana images (from a trip about a year ago.) We visited low-lying, desert islands in the east. You had to be careful to avoid stepping on iguanas. They are everywhere. I'm a newbie, so hope I'm doing this right.

As you can tell, I'm a newbie to UHH. I'd be glad to publish more iguana pix. (They are really easy to find in the Galapagos. Tortoises were harder.) But I don't want to hijack Frisco's thread. I'll start one in the next day or two. Thanks for asking.

We visited the Galapagos for four days in Feb 2013. I used my 70-300 only sparingly, from cliffs to capture iguanas and boobies down near the water line. My 17-55 worked quite well most of the time. Our conditions were generally bright sunshine so I did not use the monopod I had brought.

We were surprised to learn once we arrived that Ecuador manages a strict 15-day schedule for all boats landing on the various days. Our boat was in the part of the schedule that kept us on the low-lying desert-like eastern islands. We never got to Isabela or Fernandia which have more elevation and greenery.

Not quite as exciting as the Okavanga Delta, but still a unique enjoyable experience. Have fun.

That is viable option, of course depending on your needs. LR is unsurpassed in batch processing capabilities, superb organization and search/find, logical/intuitive workflow and integration with other programs for layering or special effects such as PSE, Perfect Photo Suite, Nik, etc. Does 95+% of my processing and printing with no "subscription" fees :) i find the workflow much simpler than PSE or PS with non-destructive processing. Try it - you'll like it !

Superb answer. Thank you.

How does that compare to the Bridge organizing?

I am curious about one aspect of the several recommendations to master Lightroom. If you have CS6, you have ACR 8 also. I jumped from Canon software to PSE to PS without using Lightroom. What am I missing by using ACR as the front end (70-90%) of my post-processing workflow? Thanks

Follow up to my earlier comment: I went back and tried Triptych again in CS6 and it worked fine the second time. Computers can be so much fun.

rlaugh - I've worked all three reflection actions and figured out that they do not split the image into thirds. I'm guessing you started with a split image before running the action?

rlaugh - great pix. You have opened up a whole new challenge for me. I have already downloaded the Panosfx reflections action. Thanks for sharing.

I'm really enjoying the quality of the discussion here. Thanks for hooking me on Hedgehog.

A little background: I was a P&Ser (Canon) until five years ago. I then started with the Nikon D60 kit and moved onto the D7000 in late 2010. I used kit lenses until I treated myself to a f2.8 17-55mm which I rarely take off my camera now. I began using PS Elements9 but moved on to CS5 and CS6. The learning curve between Nikon and Adobe products has been a challenge. At 69, my learning process is a bit slower than I'd like.

But I can tell I will learn plenty here. Cheers!
