Love your shots. Question: I plan to travel to Costa Rica in November/December and am physically limited with arthritis and have been using a point and shoot [ Nikon P90 which does allow some limited telephoto]. Am I likely to be totally frustrated with birds, animals etc. up in trees and at some distance from trails?

Thanks for all the comments. I looked up Garlic Mustard and while the leaves look correct for my plant, the flowers on my specimen have what appear to be double and have "whiskers", making it look kind of fuzzy. Perhaps I have a mutant !!! At any rate I will still consider it a rampant plant and confine any this year to one location.
I do appreciate the feedback. Happy Spring.

Volunteer plant in my yard. I grows around the neighborhood and we call it a weed. But I think it is rather nice. Opinion?

Hi,
Thanks; I will add your info to the file I've started. I will have a hard time picking an itinerary for the short time I'll be there.

I am planning a trip to Costa Rica in late November- early December and would be interested in any "must see" or other travel tips. I will have at most 15 days and have to be selective. Any recommendations?

Thank you all. I really appreciate your comments. I was a bit intimidated by all the terrific photos posted on the site and your comments are very reassuring.
Thanks again,
Larry

Greetings. The show is billed as the largest flower show in the world (??) and fills a full (huge) floor of the city's conventions center. It is "tradition" the we get a snow storm during the shows 10 day visit, and this year is no exception. I am using a Nikon Coolpix D90 camera as my other Nikons with lenses is now too much for my arthritic shoulders. This is my first post. Larry

Hi, I have had an Epson Perfection V370 Photo scanner for a few years and find that the scanned 35mm slides come into computer true to original colors and density. This machine also has color correction for my old very faded pink slides. Additional corrections can be made with Photoshop. This particular item may not be available new, but Epson can give you info on a replacement model
Good luck. Larry

Hello, My name is Larry but my login is Hambar06. I have been getting Hedgehog now for several weeks and have hesitated to respond because I am rather intimidated by all the great photos you show. I was given my first 35mm camera before I left to go to boot camp in 1953 and got hooked on photography. Eventually I bought a NikonF and then an F3 with a few lenses. For a few years now with arthritis, I was forced to shelve all those and purchase my first [digital] Nikon point and shoot; I now have moved to a Coolpix P90. At some point I will post some of my old 35mm's and then my digital shots to see what the reaction I get from you all. Thanks in advance.
