Thank you JonD. What we have experienced gives us a certain perspective that stays with you for life. I can see that between you, TheeGambler and other here we share similar views. I did not agree with everything GW Bush did but Obama is way over the top with respect to things that just pi$$ me off.
GW Bush did not do everything right but he definitely called our enemies our enemies.
JonD well said. Inmelt also managed to get GE a pass on $5b (if my memory serves me correctly) in taxes owed while Obama is stating that the "fat cats" need to pay their "fair share".
As an old veteran Benghazi upsets me because it could have been avoided. Instead we are still pointing fingers at anyone other than they two who should take responsibility, Obama and Hillary.
TheeGambler I share your sentiments. It appears that no matter what happens with this administration it is always someone elses fault.
My question to anyone who believes this is a Republican "witchhunt" is: What if one of those who died were your brother or son or husband? Would you be satisfied with what we currently know? Remember, when they brought the bodies back to the US, Hillary told the father of one of the men killed that it was all caused by a Youtube video.
I moved back to the US in 2007. I was here about 3 months and read an article on-line about ICE raiding McDonalds in Reno. They arrested most of the staff and had to release them because of ACLU lawsuits. I have not heard of any raids since then. Sad...
While I do not disagree that deporting 11 million plus people is problematic I do believe that if we do not allow them to work or do not provide any sort of public assistance they will deport themselves.
I lived in Holland for 7 years. The ICE counter parts there would periodically raid businesses to look for illegals. They recognized that allowing too many people into the country dilutes the social services for the legal people residing in the country. The Dutch were in full agreement. They pay taxes at a rate of 52%. They will state that this money is for them and not for anyone entering the country illegally. There is much more I could say about this but I think this says enough.
