I do not understand why people keep looking BACK. Time to let go and forget.

I don't understand why anyone else keeps looking back but, I can tell you, a day never goes by that I don't look back at the 18 months that I spent in SVN ... and I sincerely hope that a day never comes that I don't look back ... !

I have been vacationing on The Big Island for 18 years and I travel with two lenses. My 28-135 IS and 70-200 IS f/4 L lens. Choose two lenses to give you the greatest flexibility without getting loaded down on your trip.

I've been using the Sanyo eneloop batteries for a couple of years and I have never had that problem. But, I always take any of my rechargeable batteries out of the charger when charging is complete ... never leaving them in the charger for any length of time. My back-ups are always ready, they seem to keep their charge for many months.

And, while I don't know if it would make a difference or not, and, you did not mention it, I always use the slow charge mode on my Maha MH-C401FSB batery charger.

In fact, I'm just glad to be anywhere ...

So, I retired from the US Army in July 1985, spent most of my time, when I was not a light weapons infantryman, as a Huey crewchief (7 years including 18 months in SVN and 3 years in FRG) and finished as a paralegal teaching at Fort Ben Harrison, IN.

Became, among other things, a motor carrier safety investigator for the DOT then on to a paralegal with the DoD. Retired from civil service in May 2014.

I am interested in photography (once again) ... I had a strong interest in the '70s and '80s in film photography ... I am now getting back into the swing of things using a DSLR, etc ... I am also interested in making, and enjoying, fine beer, wine, and mead ...

Looking forward to being pointed in the right direction ...
