Ok, start by looking for a point and shoot with WIFI along with a tripod.

Missed that one...would be interested in seeing it too. (Was a Ferrier in another life myself. Can't imagine a VW being able to manage the weight of all the heavy iron tools and supplies.)

The depth of field shown in #2 is outstanding and the others are right on up there! Very good results.

Trying close up photography here with a 70-200mm and close up lens does not allow anywhere near the depth of field your photos show. Looking at specs of both setups they seem to be very near the same weight and hand holding steady is a task for me. Who says some military training doesn't come in handy...using the old boot camp sequence of "breath, relax and pull".

There was a whole week devoted to this type situation in one of my ethics classes at seminary a few years ago. Never though about this happening until then or how often it could happen to a priest. The class subject was, "interpersonal communications" and was written about by a monk named Frans Jozef Van Beeck. It was part of a paper he had written on "Devine Revelations". The instructor zeroed in on pages 29 - 30. I found it on Wikipedia at one time.

All are great images, thank you for posting them. (I like the last one best because of the included "props".)

Yep, such a beautiful place in this terrestrial world; this wonderful place is number one to be visited again someday!

With a few minutes on my hands this morning I started looking for a post of mine that garnered a comment that now that I've been participating in this forum for a while could be a good one to adopt when posting a photo - didn't find it.
However looked at my first post made almost a year ago after observing the culture herein for six or so months prior to joining up.
My first post was a tongue in cheek comment about a frequent subject - cell phone photos vs dslr photos. It's so interesting to read the many amazing ways posted to say the same very few things over and over for a handful of pages that have caused 4600 views too. Guess the passionate feelings shown toward this hobby here is what keeps me interested and checking in every morning, thank you.

Just wondering what context "sugaring" takes in your neighborhood. "Sugaring" to me means waking up beehives for the season.

For my taste I'd hang all three in a vertical row with the B&W at center and the second at top closer to the ceiling (ten foot high) than the first is to the floor. I like the second one but want to be back a ways relative to the others. I'm curious how others would treat these three fine images?

In the beginning of my hobby my mother hated the smell because I used our one bathroom to develop my images. I don't really remember that smell from the '40s & '50s but thinking about a comparable terrible smell connected to a hobby is during the time I spent as a rancher raising cattle and the forage to feed them. The worst and best smells! There is nothing much worse than the feed pen smell in wet weather or a better smell than new mowed hay. My fond memories about these smells is that they both smelled like money!
