That's probably not a bad deal if her hospital and chemo bills were $500,000.
That is a red herring proposition. It doesn't matter what the bill is. What matters is that they could not afford the increased premium because of the "
Affordable Care Act"

Why ask a question if you think you know the answer?
Why are you posting a question that is inane, irrelevant and not germane to the article?
Here are the first two paragraphs from the article:
Quote:
WASHINGTON (AP) Coping with advanced cancer, Bev Veals was in the hospital for chemotherapy this summer when she got a call that her health plan was shutting down. Then, the substitute insurance she was offered wanted her to pay up to $3,125, on top of premiums.
It sounds like one of those insurance horror stories President Obama told to sell his health overhaul to Congress, but Mrs. Veals wasnt in the clutches of a profit-driven company. Instead, shes covered by Mr. Obamas law one of about 100,000 people with serious medical issues in a financially troubled government program.
br WASHINGTON (AP) Coping with advanced cancer,... (

You are looking at the wrong thread.

Rix....You may be overreacting. All that they've done is stop gay propaganda. They're not throwing them into jail or gulags. My guess is that they see what's happening in the U.S. and they're putting a quick stop to it.
To which Rix replied:

I don't think so. People are being attacked in the streets and prominent artists, journalists and athletes are leaving the country...You might have been one of the those that said "what's a few broken windows" in Germany. (emphasis mine)
For having the temerity to say something contrary to Rix, who is in my opinion a troll, SteveR is labeled a Nazi. Extremely low brow and distasteful.

So now anybody who disagrees with
your opinion is automatically a Nazi.
Never ask a man if he is from Texas.
If he is, he will tell you soon enough.
If he is not, you will just embarrass him.

E11 does not seem to offer what I want. There are 20+ activity groups in my community. I want to record informal portraits of the participants in each group. Some people belong to several groups. I want a file structure that will allow me to place all photos of "Glory" playing pool in the Ladies Pool Group, and shots of Glory playing bocce in the Bocce Club group. Etc.
What you are describing is a database and tables for SQL. Unless you are willing to store the same photo many, many times over, (think group shots) you will need to look into a something that can build a front end program and link to tables like you have described.
You would be doing something like this:
PersonsTable
PersonID
PersonName
PersonRoomNbr
ActivitiesTable
ActivityID
ActivityName
ActivityLocation
GroupTable
GroupID
GroupName
PhotoTable
PhotoID
PhotoDesc
PhotoDirectory <<== where it resides
LinkTable
LinkID
PersonID
GroupID
ActivityID
PhotoID
Then you could store the info in the tables and ask questions like, given a PersonID, give me all the groups they are in or the Activities they are in or all their photos. Given a GroupID, give me all their photos. Given an Activity, give me all their photos.
In real life, I would probably do it a bit different, but this makes the point.
I know this probably seems overkill and complicated, but the that is the nature of the question. By the way, by only storing the photos in 1 location, you save space and you are approaching 3rd Normal Form!

My D7000 records video at 1920x1080 at 24 fps!
At least that is what the manual on pg 60 says as well as a couple of sites I checked!
From dpReview:
1920 x 1080 (24 fps), 1280 x 720 (24, 25, 30 fps), 640 x 424 (24 fps)

sounds like bad news to me. I like and use NIK software.
This also includes Capture NX2. Probably no NX3. Most likely we will find Color Control Points powered by U Point Technology in Picassa. I have a bad feeling that nothing good is going to come of this.
People have no idea what a great program NX2 is. It is not Photoshop, but when it comes to bringing out the color of a photo, there is nothing better. I read all the time questions about how to make the sky pop or make the grass really green, skin softening, eyes & teeth white, etc... and I am thinking to myself, no big deal. Plop a control point on the area in question and use the sliders to get what you want! This will be an interesting ride!
Get em' while their hot! At $2100, a bit more than I had hoped, but it is FX.

Some one just asked me if i would do his web site. I tod him that my price would be a Nikon D7000 16.2MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR with a 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR ED Nikkor Lens (factory refurbished preferred). What do you think?
It depends on what you mean by "do his web site". If that means from full blown start to finish, design, layout, photos, links, info, download/upload capabilities, email, text, FAQ, maintenance, changes, updates, etc... then I think you are too cheap. Quotes I have gotten for the full package deal from professionals range from $12,000 to $20,000. So you are talking at a minimum, D800 with 3 FX zoom Lenses each with 2.8 and at least a 50mm prime.
