These are the last of the Argentine Giant Cactus blossoms.

We will start to make our way back to Canada in a couple of days and will be leaving the Yuma, Arizona.

I have enjoyed taking the photos on my daily walks. Any tips and tricks to make the photos better appreciated.

Love #3.........

That strip is a hoot. The guys who do this have done an in depth study of teenage boys.

It brings to mind the song "Big John" by Jimmy Dean.

My wife and I scooted out after work this past Friday (04/04/2014), to the Betty Steflik Preserve. This is a beautiful protected wetlands area in Flagler Beach, across the Intracoastal, just west of the beach area.

While we were there, we were treated to a very beautiful sunset.

Looks like a female Kestrel to me. The barred pattern on the wings and the shape of the wings is not Red-tailed. A juvenile Red-tail does not have a red tail. The barred, red tail is typical female Kestrel.

I would never question your expertise........

Great photos pastagal. The photo of the Intrepid brought back many memories, especially the one where I watched as the oiler USS Canisteo lost steerage way and collided with Intrepid on her starboard side. Left a huge hole in Intrepid and ripped the whole port side off Canisteo. I was on a destroyer refueling from Canisteo's starboard side. We had to cut the fueling lines to avoid being drawn into that mess.

Cynthia Tucker is as reliable and reasonable as Piers Morgan and all the "journalists" on MSNBC. Just consider the source folks.

Very good shots. I hope our nesting pair is successful this year. They have a problem with building their nests in old, dead cottonwoods that rot at water's level and then the tree snaps in high winds.

I, too have committed this error but I did get some great shots as you did. I don't feed the moochers any more.
