I went to Venice in fall of 2017 for ten days. We stayed in an apartment on one of the canals. I have never gone to Carnival. It was really, really crowded as the big tourist ships come in and let hundreds of people off. I cannot begin to imagine it during Carnival. We simply got out and walked each morning and evening. The mornings were great because there were fewer people about. Evenings it got pretty crowded. Good street photography anywhere you go, just keep walking and looking. Mostly medium angle lens (Nikon 24-120), sometimes wide angle for the "different" effect and a very few times a longer lens, I think the 70-200. Had a Nikon D800 with me.

I have and still own various cameras. I use different cameras for different things. But I have a favorite. One that is my go to carry it with me everyday. I like the results I get from it SOOC, I love the color, I like the way it works, and I like the way it feels and handles. And it has one hot pixel. Arrrrrgggggg. 😡 But it is still my favorite camera.

So this post is not about what camera is best or most expensive or mine is better than yours, or DSLR vs Mirrorless, or brand loyalty. It's about what camera is your favorite camera, and lens, and why.
