Probably a fairly basic question but whenever I take a shot that includes some sky it's always over exposed. The physics seem pretty simple, either the sky is exposed correctly (and the other stuff appears under exposed) or vice versa. I can't see how you can have a happy medium.

Am I missing something? Or do you correct in post?

Thanks

Try metering off the sky, hold, then lower your camera/view & shoot the scene.

To avoid construction around the east side of Glacier, get a map. There are other routes besides #89 which w/get you to St. Mary & Many G., ie., Star School Rd & Duck Lake Rd. Don't forget to check out Chief Mtn on the way to the Canadian border. Actually, the best shots of "The Chief" are on the way back from the border, IMO.

Adorama is 1st rate. I've dealt w/them for many years. NEVER a problem. B&H is top notch as well.

"just transfer the files over your network to your main machine" Thing is, I don't even know how to do this procedure. I'm a total computer dummy. Maybe a new Adaptec card is the way to go if it would work w/Windows 10 64 bit. My little mind is overwhelmed at the moment. Thanks for the kind offer of help. W/keep you in mind.

Also, I don't really want an extra pc under my desk plus, don't want my photo files on 2 different devices.

Thanks for all the options but none have the right connections. 1st one is the right idea but, the configuration of the "probes" doesn't match up. Bummer. Still think I must contact Microtek for the best solution. A smaller card to fit my new tower seems the way to go.

Going to check it out. I already use "paint" to remove bugs etc. from flowers. Have actually used it (pencil & color grabber)to remove telephone wires, even whole farm communities from landscapes. It's tedious, almost a Zen-like experience, but I like the finished product.

I have been very pleased w/my Sony a65 & the kit lenses that came with it. Am gradually upgrading to Carl Zeiss lenses though because that's what I had on my Contax film camera. Absolutely nothing wrong w/the kit lenses though.

Well, the search continues. W/B returning the cable due to it being the wrong "sex"! Feeling pretty stupid for not noticing right away. Was giddy at the prospect of finding a solution. Life w/go on w/o the scanner, for now. Have other shit to do. Thanks, everyone for all the advice & feed-back!!
