I bought this lens with my first D 750 about 18 months ago. When I bought my second D 750, I bought a 300mm prime with a 1.4 tele, and this lens has pretty much sat around since. B&H has offered me $ 450 clear, no hassle. If any one can use it, I will sell for $ 500, net to me.

As I said, I'm almost 70. Switched out this past November from my IPad Air2, with 128 gig to a 12" IPad Pro with 256 gig memory. I sync with ITunes regularly, and prior to a trip, I get rid of a lot of stuff I don't need on it for a trip, and haven't come close to filling it. Just returned from 3 weeks in Costa Rica, shooting at least 500 shots a day, maybe half keepers, and filled it about half way. You need to remember to delete your " Recently Deleted" album daily.

I use 64 gig chips, and change them about every 3 to 4 days. Every day I load my pics of the day on my iPad, delete my junk there, and keep all my good ones, in Raw, on my IPad. I put my chip I change out with my money and my passport. I'm also 70, almost. I carry about 15 chips, always enough. If I was going round the world or something, I'd buy more chips.

Rich, We returned from our third trip to CR mid February. Total of 46 days there. Total of 8 different lodges and areas. All jungle locations, including Tortuguero, our favorite, Arenal, too touristy, Monte Verde, known locally as the "Crowd" Forest, Manual Antonio, too many people, Corcovado, very remote, the mountains, and in between. Presently planning next years trip.
Tips: There are no mosquitos, none. If mosquito nets are required, perhaps for a different season, the lodge will provide them. I shoot raw, putting almost 2,000 images on a 64g chip, never filling it, and changing chips when we went to our next lodge. Put my chips with my money and passports, equally if not more valuable to me. I uploaded my daily pics to my IPad, primarily to see what I got, and what I still wanted. Also emailed a few, although WiFi in the jungle is pitiful. At Tortuguero, take every boat trip available. We were there 5 days last time, and went out every morning before sun up, and every late afternoon. When deep in the jungle there, it is very dark, practice low light shooting.

Wonderful country, wonderful people, wonderful wildlife, a photographers Paradise if there ever was one.

Have fun,

Mike

Where I live, my back yard is full of Cardinals. All day, every day, Cardinals. They are a beautiful bird, but, when you see them all day, every day, you get a little jaded. And then, just when you don't think you ever want to see another Cardinal, a beautiful thing happens. Late afternoon, one of the Misses decides she needs a bath...

Bob, Yes I do format every time I insert my card. I do that after reading a post from a card company tech guy, also a photographer. That was his recommendation. That was my first use of that particular card, so don't think I can blame it on too much formatting. Bad card from the git go. That fellow went on to discuss how these cards are virtually indestructible, which hasn't changed my approach to handling them, but is some reassurance for possible accidents. I'm quite comfortable with the fact that every shot is saved twice, and have yet to lose one.

Best,

Mike

I have used 64 gig chips for a while, with my D 750, 2. One for raw, and one for JPEG back up. Long story, but Crutchfield screwed up an order, and gave me a Sony 128 gig chip as their way of saying sorry. In Costa Rica last month, on the second day at my second lodge, shooting and get a Card ERR alert. I always have a spare, switched chips, continued shooting. Got home, put the Sony 128 in my computer, did not appear.

Called Sony Data Recovery unit, mailed them my chip, and 7 days later received a new 128gig chip with all my 1,000 plus pics from the damaged chip on it. Point being, if you get a bad chip, and this is my first ever, try contacting the manufacturer for data recovery, and a replacement.
