Hi, everyone!
I have loved taking pictures for most of my life. Now that I am retired, I decided it was time to learn how to really use my camera! I take pictures of stuff around our ranch and, our grandkids. I would love to have y'alls help on something. I love the pictures produced by the old Holga cameras. I just don't know which to buy. A new Holga, old one or, a new Diana F+. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Sorry, I shoot a Canon 7D.
Thanks for your help!

Rising Star, TX sounds familiar, is that in West Texas. I'm a Texas reject.

[quote=MissyD]Hi! I just found this site by accident and I love it. I wanted to show off my new granddaughter that was born two months ago. I was blessed to go into the delivery room and shoot the delivery (from my daughter-in-law's head). I've been a professional photographer about 15 years now, but I've been shooting for probably 30 years! It's my passion, my love. I shoot portraiture for my business (as well as everything else), but wildlife is my passion. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to pay my bills with wildlife prints. If anybody has any recommendations for good sites that you've sold prints, let me know. Also, I welcome your feedback on this portrait I did of my new granddaughter. As usual, I'm too chatty! Thank you.

Welcome to the world little one!

Hello! My name is Nikki, and I just joined the forum today.
I am 18 years old, live in Michigan, and have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember.
I'm pretty much just a freelancer right now, but photographed my first wedding last week. (:
I use a Canon Rebel T2i and love it.
Ask me anything if you're curious, just thought I'd introduce myself.

Wishing you best of luck on the weddings. I did it for 23 years.

Nice shot. I might suggest a little cropping at the top and bottom.

This is one of the most detailed ceramics I've ever seen.....

Enlarge this and look at the detail. At least I'm getting better at focus....

After reading about panoramas here, I wanted to try some. These are from Bryce Canyon National Park, Nov. 15, 2011. Hand held, polarizing filter, used software that came with canon 60D, Tamron
18-270 lens. Any comments are welcome.

The last two are really good since the sky isn't shown. I have to be careful when shooting sky with a polarizer. I think it helps to shoot left to right?????

We scouted the area early in the aftenoon for a good spot. When we got back to set up the cameras there was a young couple in front of us. About half way thru shadow movement they left. I hot footed it over there and set it up like I wanted to originally. Just luck.

Here is a before and after. I sharpened a little using smart sharp in Photoshop then again just a little using unsharp mask then used a high pass on a duplicate layer and finally touched up the straw/grass on his fir with the clone tool to take away some of the double image sort of look that the sharpening gave it.

You did good!
