A super series. Wonderful color and great drama. Makes me eager for fall to take hold here in our neck of the woods.
The fish weren't biting so there was plenty of time to play with the camera. I love to see nature stripped to its simplest essentials ... so soothing.
My granddaughter used to call them "ballerinas." The one you captured is truly a beauty.
Thanks for sharing.
Nice shot. The download makes it awesome. I love the hard red line horizon (except for where it isn't). I bet you even stopped to smell them ... who could resist? :)
A fine point, Mark. I'm with you. The glass is at least half full. (not that I don't miss some aspects of those good old days).
Spectacular shot, Regis. The full-screen download makes me feel like I'm there. Thanks for the trip. :)
Wonderful images, Regis. They really speak to the season - you can almost feel the sunshine reflecting off the turtle's shell.
A note of possible interest: Unless I am terribly mistaken, the first image is of a "damselfly," as opposed to a dragonfly. They are distinguished by their wings: the dragonfly being unable to retract its wings to a position parallel with its body, the damselfly always coming to rest with its wings tightly drawn to its body (as the one you so beautifully captured).
Nonetheless, I truly enjoyed your posts.
