I am very sad....I won't be able to join everyone next week. I have to go to California on a business trip. I'll be flying out on the 19th. Rats!

Please take at least a group picture so I can see everyone.

So sorry you can't join us. Nice shot of you playing bass. Lou

Thanks Lou! Is The Wilds worth going to?

Absolutely. We have the Grandparents season pass, we can get all of our grandkids in, and 2 other guests. If you have the time and would like to go and I can get you in for free. I enjoy going and taking pictures of the wildlife. The open air tour is 2 1/2 hours. Give it some thought and let me know. google the Wilds Cumberland, OH

I am going to bring a brown bag and mooch off everyone for food!:):) But really, I am going to bring lunch and sit outside. I am sure we can find a shelter some where.:) But it is ok to branch off and meet up again!

I'm brown bagging it for lunch too, but open to having dinner afterwards in Cambridge.

Any thoughts on meals? Cook-out? Brown bag it? Lodge? Make like the Donner Party?

Duh! I just re-read Erv 's first paragraph, sorry to add babble to the thread.

Here are some places nearby:

The Forum is a nice place for dinner, Italian style food. Theo's has great sandwiches; which is locate in downtown Cambridge. Salt Fork Lodge dinning room has a nice lunch menu too. Hope that helps. My husband and I have tried all of these during some of our camping trips at Salt Fork. Lou

I'll be there! I'm planning on driving out on Friday and staying overnight Friday & Saturday. Haven't figured out where to stay yet, but I'm not up to camping on this trip. Rather have a nice bed and shower available. Gotta investigate whats in the area besides the lodge.....but I'll probably just pick the lodge anyway..... can't wait!!!! :-)

There's a very new Comfort Inn at Caldwell, OH. That would be about 30 -40 to Salt Fork. Lou

So the Ohio rebellion is going to party in Cambridge? Nice part of the state geographically. Many years ago the was a massive power-shovel that was being used to re-landscape parts of the coal regions. The thing had a bucket that picked up entire counties in one swoop. It might have been named "Little Egypt", but I'm not sure. I do remember sometime in the mid-70's when it was moved across I-70. An earthen pad had to be built over the west bound lane, the beast moved to the median, then the pad was moved to the east bound lane and the machine went across. The whole procedure took a week or so. Coal was king in that region. The landscape has changed entirely. Hope you all have fun.
So the Ohio rebellion is going to party in Cambrid... (show quote)

It's called The Big Muskie. It's located near McConnelsville, OH, not from the The Wilds. Lou
