My wife inherited a Brownie Target Six-20 camera from her father. We suspect he bought it in the late 40's. We "think" there may be some undeveloped film in this camera, but not sure how to check. Is there a place we could send this camera where they would know how to open it and check if there is any film (and develop it if there is)?
I am a life-long PC user who switched to MACs about 2 years ago. I will NEVER go back to a PC. Especially for photography and/or video, you simply can't beat a MAC. There is just something about the seamless simplicity of the MAC OS that I really enjoy! For on-the-road use, I'd suggest the MACBook Air. If you want to use it as a primary computer at home as well, then look at the MacBook Pro.
I'll ditto the suggestion of the Canon 70-200 f4 "L" series lens! It was the first lens I bought for my 7D other than the kit lens it came with. The image quality with this lens is phenominal. From my humble perspective it's probably the best tele bang-for-buck lens going!
Living in New Mexico, I doubt I'll ever set foot in either place, but I do subscribe to a really good podcast called "Exploring Photography with Mark Wallace" which is hosted by Adorama. If you do Podcasts, this is one I recommend. It is very well done and informative.
FWIW, I don't know if you do Podcasts or not, but the iTunes store has a number of free Photoshop-related podcasts.
After much research I ended up with Canon SX50 and could not be happier.
Thanks. I wish I'd taken a better picture with a better camera, but the iPhone was all I had. If you look real close you can see the moon in the upper right.
Ditto. I like the second one also. Both are great, but the second is the best for me.
This is a sunrise I took with my iPhone the other day.
I never get tired of Sunrise/Sunset pictures! Very nice!
I just took delivery of a new Canon SX50 point and shoot. I have a Canon 7D but wanted a "carry everywhere" camera that is light and easy to carry every when when I don't want to lug around a bag of equipment. Today I drove around town and took some pictures of the local area, then ended up a a local wildlife preserve. I'm still very much in a learning mode as a photographer, but anxious to learn. Here are a few shots from today.
Oh, now I must say, that is just si
I just took deliver of my Canon SX50. Today I decided to just go out and about and see what I could find to take pictures of. Ended up at a local wildlife preserve. Here are a few pictures from today's adventure.
