I am currently using a D 300. My wife has a Nikon 500 mm/4 for her D300 and we are both taking a class in February with birds being the main interest. I cannot afford another 400 or 500 mm from Nikon but I felt a 300 would be handy to have for birds and other shots too.
Thanks for all your comments.
I am interested in buying a 300 mm/2.8 lens for my Nikon. I'd like a Nikon but is the new Sigma 300 mm/2.8 or 100-300/2.8 comparable?
I used B/H to buy a rated 10 Nikon 500 mm f4 and it was as advertised.
Never used anyone else. Otherwise I buy new.
Val needs to teach a class. Great advice. Val, you know what you are doing. Love you helpful answers.
RockinRobinG hit the second picture best.
I'd crop the first photo to eliminate the close bridge and use the walkway and sky alone. I think renomike was closer to what I would do.
The second picture needs less sky. It doesn't add to the picture.
Great pictures. Good eye for detail.
I agree with Val but I would crop the third photo too. The flower in the background adds nothing. Great sharp flower though.
