What sort of filters are those? I'd like to buy some myself.
Thanks.

Optolong L-eNhance dual bandpass light pollution filter. $200+, Optolong L-eXtreme f2 optics dual band filter $309. There are others, but these two seem to be very popular. I used the L-eNhance with good results. Remember these are for astrophotography, not visual.

12:36 am and as I venture out into the night, only because I tend to keep odd hours, I look up to see…. Polaris is gone. Unseeable because of the reflection of millions of light sources in the atmosphere. I will be lost in the darkness without it. It was there not too long ago. I would suppose it’s a reflection of our advances in technology and how it leads to our loss of observable light from vast regions of our universe.
Perhaps it’s only temporary, but the days have been windy and the night sky is clear.
Edit
So I guess, upon further reflection, that this qualifies as a rant. Damn tequila

Unfortunately light pollution is only going to get worse for visual observation. However if doing photography, there are some pretty good filters out there to combat its effects. Those will be my next purchase.
I figured UHH could use a bit of cheer for 2024.
When I was still doing restoration and mods, the Red paint was always the most expensive of the basic colors. Also Red isn't always Red.

Been wanting to drive one of these for a long time - Pagani Zonda worth about $8 million Australian - and finally got my way. Well not entirely. This is a 20cm remote controlled scale model; a Christmas present from dear Noelene. Here I am doing a few laps of the pizza oven in the back garden. And yes . . . plenty of pizza (and wine) were consumed during the production of this image
Hahaha, that's as close as I could ever get to driving one, but still a Hoot.
No, I'm pretty sure that's a Spaghetti tree.
I can't say enough about your hat and shoes...good match IMHO. I bet the bicycle war stories can be quite harrowing at times.
Well, I'm at the emergency room 😩. This morning was not good. I decided to go trail riding .. It turned out to be a big mistake! I got on the horse and started out slowly, so then we went a little faster; before I knew it, we were going as fast as the horse could go. And when I tried to stop the horse, I couldn't stop him, he must have gotten spooked or something, he was out of control, so I decided to try to jump off the horse, and instead, I fell off, but as I was falling, my foot got caught in the stirrup , so the horse was dragging me. And he wouldn't stop! Every time I screamed at him to stop, the horse went faster ,Thank goodness the manager at Toys-R-Us came out and unplugged the machine. But he had the nerve to take the rest of my quarters so I wouldn't attempt to ride it again.
What information do you want? It is in very good to excellent condition, and I have the original box. I can't be sure of the number of actuations it has, but definitely not a high number. Probably less than 10k. I always kept it in a Pelican case when not in use.
We generally don't have the problem with moist air in Arizona, except during monsoon season.

Perhaps. But, modern cars have cabin air filters.
True, but they don't filter the exhaust fumes from the car in front of you, if you're using outdoor air.
