With the p600, nikon addeth and taketh away compared to the p520

Added, longer lens, wifi built-in.
Taken away, pixel resolution, gps.

And on the p530, they took away gps, and the tilt screen, and i think even the viewfinder.

They may have needed to lower the resolution so they could change the digital zoom factor.

Still, all three are good, just with a different mix of features.

For the p600, my wish list would be
Add wifi built-in, add raw capture, add speedlight hot shoe.

That is almost the D5300.

She was also the training carrier, based at Pensacola NAS, for a while, after the Lexington CV-16 was retired.

Another Essex class carrier, the Oriskany was sunk as an artificial reef of the coast near Pensacola. One of the earliest battleships, BB-2, Massachusetts is visible in the satellite views of the water near Pensacola as well. It qas used a target ship for a while.

For an old school solution, there is a command line utility available for Windows PC's called robocopy. It may already be on your computer, or it can be downloaded from Microsoft.

It would be 16mm on full frame, if the vignetting is not too bad. The field of view equivalent on the aps-c sensor is 24mm for that lens. Sony is like Nikon that way. They present the lens as if it were full frame focal length. It seems that most of the aps-c makers follow this convention. When comparing to an m4/3 camera, Olympus and Panasonic show the correct focal length for their sensor size, and to get to a full frame equivalent, multiply by 2.

Confusing, isn't it.

Mostly just look through the viewfinder and see if what you want is in tje picture.

One opinion for you.

Skip the 55-200, it's ok on lower resolution sensors but loses out at 24mp

Tamron, no comment.
Nikon 55-300 vs 70-300.
55 dx vs 70 fx
55 has a "slower" focusing motor

If you are going to stay dx then skip the 70-300 and enjoy.

The first lens with VR was the 80-400 (D), which was just updated last year to a G model. It dates back to at least 2002.

Not sure if it could tell if it was on a tripod.

Mine came back in about a week. I sent it the day the switch was announced, and I am located across the Hudson River from Melville, so they got it the next day. I probably beat the rush.

I would skip the leica, an fz200 by another name is still an fz200.

Now to add to the mix:
Fuji Finepix S1
Not sure about all the features, but it is weather sealed...

I am still leaning toward the Canon between the 2. However, another member through 2 more possibilities into the mix - the Panasonic fz200 & the Leica v lux4. I have been studying those 2 and both check more boxes than the sx50.
The Panasonic is looking good both feature and price-wise. I need to get my hands on 1 to see how it feels. I had the Leica in my hands a while back, and that felt great - very comfortable to my hand.

I also have the fz200, it is the same camera as the leica, as best i can tell. The 2.8 at 600mm is great for indoor shots. I think it only goes to 1200mm equivalent with digital zoom, though.
I took pictures at an ice rink of my daughter learning to skate. With the sx50 I had to back off the zoom even all the way across the rink. The fz200 was fully zoomed in.
Either will be good, though

Have the p520, and the sx50. The nikon has gps, if thats desired otherwise, i think the sx50 checks boxes better. With the filter adapter, you could put on a 67mm screw on hood.

The p600 may have a little longer reach. But no raw, filters are a clumsy addon no gps. Etc.

I could use that left eye camera. I can close my right eye, or both together, but I have never been able to close or wink with my left eye. We adapt!
