My wife is left handed and she regularly looks at the left handed 'gizmo's' like scissors and can openers. Just a thought: do they make left handed cameras ? - do 'south paws' do things differently when taking photographs with a 'standard' camera? My wife just uses a sony P&S on Auto but it could make a good 'wind-up' for me to suggest that she's not holding it right....:-)
It took me a long time to find a left handed woman.

The other quest would be for a left-eyed camera...
I'm left-handed and had to adapt.
Exacta used to make them with a left-handed film advance and release.
The
Exakta Varex II-b is just one example.
One option is to use a bracket or pistol grip and put a release on that.
Ken Rockwell looks like he has the only left-handed Nikon in the opening photo on his
page. (The photo is just flipped for looks)

Yvonne learned to be a hairdresser - watching the tutor was 'wrong handed' for her till she watched the tutor through the mirror in front of the customer - then it made sense.....she used that trick to teach her daughter how to knit. They do do things differently (some very nicely)

Yes, we do it better. ;-)
Actually, no, just had to adapt.
I have to use both sides of my brain just to keep up.
It took me a long time to become left handed, but it was worth it
Why would cameras need to be left handed, any more than a car, or a bicycle, or a keyboard??
Left handed people, are left handed, not disabled!
Yes, when using tools that are "handed", with the hand they were not designed to be used with, can be a special challenge, such as scissors, chain saws, electric drills and Japenese chefs knives that are only ground on one side.
But cameras are operated with both hands, not just one. At least that's how I do it. Now, the fact that I hold it upside down does get some funny looks!!

Sure they make them -----

Manufactured only one day a year, I presume.
It just look wrong..
Many years ago, I had to teach a southpaw to load 4X5 sheet film holders. We finally figured out that if he sat in front of me and mimicked my moves in mirror fashion. I've never seen a left handed camera and have never heard of a left-eyed camera. All the cameras I've ever seen were setup for right-handed operation/viewing. Just read the previous post. It looks like Canon listened to it's customers. It looks strange but, in digital cameras, it makes sense.
I am left handed, and have had problem with tools and school desks, but I never had a problem with cameras or felt any need for a left handed one.
