My set-up was a very make-shift, slam-bang affair that worked surprisingly well. These photo will give you the basic idea. Then, it was just a matter of pre-focusing the lens, pulling the drapes around the lens.....and waiting for a bird to show up.

Excellent Everything! Well Done!

The bird 'condo' reminded me of a dovecote, of a similar size I repaired last spring. Dovecotes are much more dour and regimented looking though.
