Looking for opinions, be honest, I have thick skin... BTW, this trip was a little different, a lot of haze from what I would call left over wild fire smoke maybe... Just looking for opinions and what I should consider for better composition... Often times, what I see in my mind is not what I after I take the photo... Thanks!

creek behind our Condo

waited nearly 15 minutes for the sun to hit this rock just right, then my phone rang and I had to go... Bummer

Canon has several mount types for canon cameras. The m50 uses mount types Ef-M. Adapters can be purchased to use Other canon lens mount types. Find the lens you want and then get the M50 adapter for that lens mount.

Not sure what to search for from a website / software perspective so if this has been posted just point me there..

Looking for software or a website software that I could put on a website of my own that lets me provide secure access to selective photos per user and will enable the user to filter photos based on tags in the photos meta data.

Thank you!

Ugh I hate it when my fat thumbs hit the wrong button and I lose everything. I should have got on my PC to answer this question. Here is the short version. All hard drives fail!!!!! They are measured I mean time between failures(MTBF). Go with a data drive, an external drive for backup, I used a western digital with 4 drives and a cloud copy. Today I use Carbonite and am thinking of switching to Amazon photos for my cloud copy. You get unlimited still photo space for free as a prime member. Good Luck! I know some of these options might sound expensive, but for me who has lost everything before it is worth it to avoid the heart-ache! God forbid a fire or flood the cloud copy will still be safe!

Listen, there is a lot of advise here. External drives fail, even the solid state ones, spinning drives fail even the modem ones. Having an external raid system to make copies or backup too is a great idea but they can fail, I use a western digital that has 4 drives in it with raid 5 configuration. Any one drive can fail and I can replace it and I still have all my data. I will say that I had a different brand with Ssd drives I it fa and due to the vendors encryption on the SSD drives I list everything. So I have PC set up with a C drive for the operating system, a d drive for data, a external system for backups and then I use a cloud copy from Carbonite. I am actually looking to change to Amazon photos for my cloud copy because I am already a prime member and for photos you have unlimited storage for free! Good. Luck, there are all sorts of backup systems out there I am just recommending both external and cloud. Don't forget , God forbid a fire or flood the cloud copy will still be safe.

You are correct usb is not where you want your work drive to be.

Might want to consider a new disk controller with the newer nvme drives that are even faster than ssd drives.

And yes free up some space on you 250gb ssd drive. I have seen when utilization gets above 80% things slow down a little during write not due to ssd drive speed but managing Pointer
s to all the free blocks.

Gary, you have talked about Cpu and ram but what about you hard drive? Is it a ssd or data drive or what. Do you see a difference once you have the file open and you want to try and alter it? Also graphic cards today scream for more memory when. Processing as well. Take a look at the whole system..

I am always up for trying something new in terms of tech. I have purchased 1tb and 2tb flash drives. Very short life span. In one case I was able to write about 500 gb. Went to add more later and it was corrupted. I could access about 50% of what I had put there. I performed a low level reformat, it helped but once got above 700 gb the same thing happened. It is just not ready yet in my opinion.

Amazon photos is free if you are a prime member. On top of that I purchased a Google pixel 3xl and I get unlimited space for photos. I have heard but not verified that Samsung is doing the same thing for thier new line. I do use the free dropbox for share photos with folks that are not tech savvy pretty easy to ask for and email them. Only isssue is the free dropbox only 2 GB.

This is something I am looking to when I travel. You find them with a HDMI port and blue tooth for mouse and roll-up keyboard.
