Probably that also. But UHH did not re-arrange. It is just that it takes recognition of scripting by the browser to see an on line photo or to hit the stored photo buttons, etc. The site remains the same---but if the browser does not recognize the version of scripting--no action takes. place. For instance in line photos do not show up with Mozilla SeaMonkey in the version I use. 32bit. And I suddenly could not recognize checkout with Walmart or Swanson vitamins, etc. But when I installed MyPal browser---those attributes worked and I could check out. I have to transfer the address to do those functions. But then some sites assume it is then not you as they know what computer and browser you used before. There are no secrets to many sites.-they all seem to collect personal data-----ew

I am absolutely confused by what is going on? Are you talking about the website code or actual scripts? They are two very different things, HTML is a mark-up language that is used to design webpages and your browser interprets that code and displays the information on the screen for you. The only scripting I found on the page were some javascript navigation buttons and the Google Analytics tracking, and that shouldn't cause rendering issues.

Just use Chrome or Firefox and pass over all this other confusing cross talk about technology, because it isn't really making much sense.

Believe it or not, I was just thinking about this yesterday when I was out in one of the local State Parks with a friend. I came to the conclusion that what I really enjoy the most out of the process start to finish, is the walking around, scouting, and finding a composition.

I am not technically proficient with the camera or post software, so I do enjoy taking the photo and processing it equally I guess.

Lovely photo but th water looks like plastic. Would rather have it look like water

I can share the location with you at Falling Waters State Park so you can create it in your own vision.
I may even join you for some great conversation and photography chit chat.

Thank you all for the replies and for taking a look. I am sorry that I didn't individually respond, but I had a quick second to check in before I had to head back out of the house.

Very much appreciated as always!

I will have to check this area of Florida out! Gee - we went to Rainbow Springs State Park a few years ago. That place boasts "the only waterfall in Florida" - but it hadn't been working for a while because the water pump was broken! It is a beautiful spring with a nice swimming area roped off (to clearly tell the alligators not to go there I am sure....) but is most interesting because it used to be a tourist destination in the glory days of Florida family vacations by car - before the theme parks attracted everyone to the most barren uninteresting part of the state. This park used to have a small zoo - it had an area of old rusted broken-down cages. It was enjoyable to walk around, and I had fun when my wife almost stepped on a beautiful huge yellow rat snake... she can scream really loud and jump really high when she wants to!

Interesting, I didn't think there was any place high enough in FL for a water fall.

It's not really that high. The composition is misleading. It is a 100ft sinkhole that formed the waterfall. Most of the surrounding area is gently rolling small hills.

Very Nice Photo. The Bluish color of the water adds real Life to your fine image. Sounds like your surrounding distractions did not stop your complex image capture. Good Job.

Thank you Silverman. I see you picked up on the color of the water and appreciate the comments on it. That is a combination of the sunlight angle, long exposure, and some tweaking in post to pull a little more color out of the water to emphasize it.

Nice shot.

Been to both Ponce de Leon Springs SP and Florida Cavern SP.
The caverns were MANY, many years ago, but we made regular visits to de Leon Springs!
(We lived 45 minutes south of de Leon.)

Much appreciated LS!

I absolutely love the landscape of that entire area of Florida. In my opinion it is the most beautiful part of the state. We didn't stay long at Ponce de Leon because my youngest was the target of every flying bug in the park
But we did head a couple minutes away and spent about an hour or so at Morrison Springs (some photos coming soon).

Florida Caverns was hit hard by Hurricane Michael a few years ago, and even though the caverns are fine, the surrounding landscape almost looks like a war zone with fallen trees. It was sad to be a witness to some very old growth gone from just one storm. But we will continue our tour of this great state and keep checking out new parks and re-visiting some of our favorites for sure.

Ok, so I guess it is technically a waterfall even though the flow is really more like a stream that lost it's way into a sinkhole. And if we are putting it all out on the table, this waterfall is neither hidden nor a secret.

Last weekend we took the kids on a mini tour of some state parks along the I-10 corridor on the Florida Panhandle. Falling Waters State Park was our 2nd destination and has some decent nature trails that are fully built up and accessible for those who do not want to get their shoes dirty. Although it was much fancier than my home parks (Tarkiln Bayou and Big Lagoon State Parks), we still enjoyed the beautiful weather and struggling waterfall.

We also visited Ponce de Leon Springs SP and Florida Caverns SP, both of which have their own stories and tales to tell, but unfortunately not great photos to share.....Enjoy!

The setup:
There were two vantage points that where designed for viewing the waterfall. The upper deck for some great higher perspective shots, and the lower viewing deck which is where this scene was set up from. The sun was mid-morning so still very directional on the upper face of the waterfall, which created interesting shadows below that I though would had more interest to the composition and help focus on the over done water smoothing long exposure effect. I tried many variations on shutter speed to find the sweet spot to capture the water, but all in all I picked this one at 210 seconds because a) there wasn't much water falling, and b) I am still a sucker for that over-smoothed almost ethereal look.

* Editor: Darktable
* Filters: Wine Country Camera (CPL, ND 10 + 3, Grad ND (I believe soft edge..can't remember)
* Tripod and Remote shutter release.
* Lots of yelling at the kids to stop jumping off the stairs onto the viewing platform (It really was not designed for long exposure photography)

February 11-12 there is a free music festival starting The Swingin' Medallions And The Guess Who. I don't know if go back in time as I do. I am 78 so I go back a long way.

I know who they are, but not exactly in my wheelhouse for live music, but my father will probably go. I'll be heading in the opposite direction to Alabama this weekend for this incoming cold front. There are a couple spots I want to check out and catch some storms approaching.

Cheers!

This is a fun time of year on the Florida Panhandle for sure. Mother nature is a little bi-polar and you caught her on a bad day.

We were north of you in Marianna visiting some of the state parks, but luckily we chased the weather off and it was cold and clear skies this past weekend.
