1. Review my pics. 2. Think about how adding images to others might make them better 3. Fix up the images for color and sharpness. 4. Copy the smaller image and then paste. The new paste becomes a new layer in PS. 5. Make final adjustments until I am pleased.
Have you tried the new generative fill tool in PS? Some people think it is too fake and bad for photography. True of you are a "purist." I like the creativity it allows. And I have no problem with any of the PS effects. Below are: my original shot (SOOC) from the Las Vegas strip; a composite I made with layers two years ago (added the flag background and 2 of my actual lightning shots); and then 2 new shots using gen fill. The composite was entered in a competition and won nothing. The new shots are ineligible as I did not create every part of the image with my camera. Any comments on using gen fill?
I went to Busch Gardens - Tampa Bay. It had been 20 years since my last visit. It is a nice park but has gotten too expensive for the average person. $35 to park my car and $25 for a (not very good) cheeseburger/ fries and diet Coke. No more of my money going there. But I did get some good pics.
Did you use a mirror lens? The donut bokeh on the flamingo shots seems to indicate it. My 500 f8 mirror is my favorite hand held lens for the zoo. I like the challenges it brings. I also drag a 600 f4 sometimes. Even greater challenges with even greater rewards.
You did a wonderful job with that lens. Don't leave it at home...let it shine!
That's the lens - a Reflex-NIKKOR C, fixed 500mm, f-8. You have a good eye.
I went to the local zoo on March 7 with only my 500mm lens. All I could take were close-ups. It was a different experience that I will probably not do again because of how it limits you.
