I think that perhaps it was the best design Chevy ever made.

Many people feel that way. Personally I prefer the '59. No matter, this is a beautiful example of a beautiful car. They sure don't make 'em like that any more.

Nice shot and good for you. Glad you are getting to do the things you want. Keep at it for as long as you can, you will never regret it.

Mustache and beard. Mustache for all of my adult life in emulation of my father. Beard since I retired and didn't have to worry about shaving every day.

Back in the early seventies an employee at at company where I worked grew a beard. It was quite conservative and he looked very good with it. He was threatened with being summarily discharged if he did not shave it off. He huffed and puffed but he did shave it off.

Much better than a left turn on red.

Left turn on red is legal under some circumstances. For example, when turning left onto a one-way street. Stopping first is still mandatory, of course.

In New Mexico, there are so many dispensaries that the owners re asking the government to stop issuing licenses since they are just now discovering the magic of the free market...excess supply leads to lower prices...

Sorry, I disagree with the owners. I think the state should continue to approve licenses as fast as they can. Let the market sort itself out. When it is no longer viable to open new stores the applications will slow down, then stop on their own. Then the stores that are on shaky financial ground will close leaving the stronger, more well-established stores to supply the demand. The herd will eventually thin itself out and the remainder will be stronger for it.

I have a 2018 Ford F150 (King Ranch). It has this feature built in so the engine shuts down at stop signs/lights. There is a button on the dash that I can push to disable this feature for the entirety of that particular trip. It has to be disabled for each and every trip if you don't want it to shut down any more. When I take my foot off the brake it restarts instantly. I did some research into this which revealed that it doesn't totally shut down. It is comparable to a computer going to sleep - it is off but not completely. I don't know about the economics of it but I think in 5 years it has saved a lot of gas.

I have yet to see a Bill Abbott cartoon I thought was funny. And his art, to my mind, is awful.

I've seen a few that were funny but not very many. His art would be a lot better if he didn't make a mess of the eyes.

If you don't understand the question, don't waste my time with a stupid reply...I take it you don't watch the nightly news...there have been several cars exploding in various countries around the world and even on cargo ships. We've had a lot of electric scooters burst into flames here as well...even a friends electric wheelchair...

Don't worry about it. UserID is just trolling again so pay no attention. Carry on...

When that happens to me, I buy another one. Then, my chances of finding it again have doubled.

This is why I have 2, sometimes 3, of every tool in my shop.

I am the same age as you and I don't know when I ever had time to work.

They are magnificent animals. I hope they do well. Not only a very nice set of photos, also a nature lesson.

As usual, another relevant and apropos sermon. I would love to sit down with you one day and just talk for a while. I think it would open my mind and would be one of life's high points.

A few more for your pleasure from 2019 car shows around Long Island.

An excellent set, thanks for sharing. I especially like the Austin-Healey. I believe the one that is pictured is a '59.

A powerful message, more relevant today than, I think, ever before but alas I fear it falls on deaf ears. Indeed, it does not even reach many ears that need to hear it.

Thanks for sharing.
