Thank you.

First, fantastic set you built - very "old world" (read: painting) that added to the classic pose of the model. Very well-done, even with the single light burning out the left of the photo somewhat. A pleasure to see a true NUDE photograph posted with so many here of late just posting snapshots of naked women.

What kind of question is that? I hardly think he owes you an explanation as to "why" he posted it. If you have to ask, I suggest it be done in a more tactful and courteous manner.

Good shot, Newy, I think it's evident why it's posted and I'm glad you did so.

I shot it on transparency and took 10 shots bracketing to try and get the result I wanted.

How many frames did you shoot to get this one?

Thank you, yes you are right, my intention was to create the feel of a painting, it was shot at night with one low light at the front of the model to give a more dramatic light.

I like it! It has the look of a painting, is that what you intended?

Here's a set I built, lit and photographed with a charming model.

Yes she is aware of the posting and as mentioned in a previous post, the model doesn't have a want or need to be flattered in every photograph she appears in, which for me is a positive in terms of being a model. I do intend to post some more photographs from the shoot.

Not the most flattering shot. Is she aware of the posting? If there was a shoot, wouldn't those shots be more appealing?

Well may be the need to reiterate your opinion. I don't feel a need or urge to defend my photographs as mentioned in previous posts,I appreciate all opinions, may be my explanation of my perception of the photograph may have been misinterpreted as a defensive posture. I respect any comment that is made about my work, be it positive or negative and grateful to the person for taking the time to do so.

The image did not stir my emotions--if any emotions were stirred, it was a result of the OP's defensive posture.
No harm done.

I appreciate everyone's opinions even if they are different to my own, that is the nature of presenting anything to a public forum and as mentioned it is not always my intention to take photographs that compliment, IMHO I find that having to compliment the subject of a photograph rather boring but each to our own. As for saving "FACE" my own ego is unfettered by opinions. As for "Mistakes" well I don't really buy into the idea of mistakes, I don't see that anyone goes out to make mistakes, we make the a decision at that moment in time and sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn't. This photograph might not work on many levels but I don't see it as a mistake just part of a learning curve. Very pleased to hear you and MR. kmgw9v are two peas in a pod.

Although she is undoubtedly pretty and shapely, the pic in no way compliments her. Yes, it fits the topic, nudes, but that’s it but THAT’S ABOUT IT!! To each his own for sure, but sometimes ya might, just to save FACE, avoid publication of your MISTAKES..I must, absolutely side with MR. Kmgw9v. As I usually do!! RJM

Thank you for your observations and i think you are right about the colour balance.
Fotoartist wrote:
I like the model, pose is OK, not sure about the pinkish tones in the background shadow. I would check to see if the color balance was neutral. I suspect too much magenta.
