They go together in this cartoon because, sadly...that is our America today. The wealthy and entitled are treated better than the "huddled masses yearning to be free."
Don't forget: the DHS secretary said the "huddled masses yearning to be free" quote was added after the statue was erected, so it doesn't count.

My hearing got hit with a double whammy; I have traumatic hearing loss due to a couple bicycle tires (100 psi) exploding right beside my head while doing road repairs and I have a genetic predisposition for hearing loss from both sides of my family. My hearing (after the traumatic experiences) was declining for many years until six years ago when I finally gave it an purchased hearing aides. That was when I relearned what a very loud place the world has become. There are frequent occasions when I go without the hearing aides and I most definitely enjoy my early mornings (when I have the house to myself for several hours).

Tissue paper rustling. I never realized how forking NOISY and ANNOYING the rustling of tissue paper was until I got hearing aids.
Felicity Huffman gets 14 days in jail. African American woman, homeless, gives an address that is not hers to enroll her child in school: gets five years in prison. This is "justice" in America.
Ha! We've had four cats over the years, and none of them were fazed by the squirt bottle. My son's cat would look at you, then squint down his eyes when he figured the squirt was coming.

Well, they did include a picture😊
But I agree. There are some places for posts like these on the Hog: General Chit-chat, The Attic, etc. and that’s where they should be.
And the category this was posted in was...
Wait for it...
"General Chit-Chat."

Very foolish. Many people suffered and died.
I don't understand: Did Alabama suppress the dead and injured count?
This was in no way a political comment. However, I can guess what political bent the few who have criticized it hold (they cried like little girls). Had this been about AOC, Obama, etc., there would have been no cry to move it to the attic, or that it shouldn't have been shown at all.
I didn't rag on any person or political party. It was a funny meme, that's all. But some of these comments show just how low our country has sunk vis a vis tribalism over the past few years. Sad, really.
Note: very early c/m cameras were marked as c. I had one.
This was my all time favorite camera. Owned several, and a couple of EL/Ms as well.
I rarely use the brightness/contrast sliders. I learned Photoshop from Eddie Tapp, one of the Premier users and teachers of the program. He said to use curves for photographic images, brightness & contrast for text.

These are low end TV's. LG and Sony OLED TV's are the ones with great pictures.
They may be low end, but we have a Vizio that has a picture that beats many higher-priced models. But I will agree that our LG has fantastic picture quality.
