Not all kit lens are created equal. Some kit lenses compliment the body they are sold with. Some kit lenses are basically freebies to entice the consumer into buying the kit. For example, the kit lens to my D500, a Nikkor 16-80 f/2.8-4 compliments the kit and is added value. As a kit, I saved about $500 or so on the cost of the lens. The Canon T6 kit includes a 18-55 image stabilized lens and a 75-300 non stabilized lens. The 18-55 is a decent lens, nothing great but decent enough. The 75-300 may be the cheapest telezoom Canon makes. Based on the cost of this kit, the 75-300 is a give away, just to promote sales of the kit. I also have Canon EF L series kit lenses and there are no bad L series lenses.

Many with no sense of humor or just plain bitterness towards life/Christmas in general.

The joke was not funny. It was sexist and demeaning to women. It perpuates the chouvanistic misconception that females are bad drivers, although there is no statistical basis to this claim.
I'm not bitter towards life or Christmas. If you ask me, anyone with a need to belittle an entire gender just to get a little recognition and a few laughs is the one who harbours a deep seeded bitterness.
As for Christmas, my two favorite times of the year are, anytime I can ride my motorcycle and Christmas. At least I don't need to use the holidays as an excuse to drink excessive amounts of alcohol, as oh so many men do.

What I did to defeat the squirrels is hand the feeders from a line of very strong, very small gauge wire. The feeders are far enough from the ground and any supports for the squirrels to jump and small enough gauge to prevent the squirrels from walking the wire. It works quite well.

Insulting females simply because we are female is not funny. I would match my driving skills, on 4 wheels and 2 wheels, against most male drivers, any day.

You are not as funny as you believe you are. Pathetic maybe, but not funny.

It's TAMRON, without the E. It's an excellent lens.

Now they put it on sale. Why couldn't they have done that 10 months ago when I bought mine. Oh, maybe because it was brand new then. But still! By the way, I've had no problems using L series lenses on my M50. Looks a little silly but I've had no problems.

I had a nearly identical experience a few years ago. I let my now ex-wife take my truck to a job about 15 minutes out f this small town. A few hours later, she called complaining my ever-dependable truck wouldn't start, just wouldn't turn over. I hopped in her car and drove out, thinking it must be a dead battery, that she probably left the headlights on or something.

Got out there and had her crank it -- nothing, as she had said. Headlights were pretty bright when I had her turn them on, though. Checked the cables and they looked good -- tight, not corroded, etc. Slapped on the jumpers for grins & giggles and still nothing (I had a car once that cranked just barely perceptibly slowly the last time it started then had a completely dead battery after driving it ten minutes, so stranger things have happened). At this point I'm thinking it's the starter or solenoid, so I was about to call AAA. As I disconnected the battery cables, I hollered asking her what gear it was in. "D," she said.

I felt foolish for not having checked that first, but on the other hand, I should not have had to check it. It's as basic as asking her if she tried using the key to start the damn thing.

I had just purchased a new car before taking a trip to Europe. While I was there my wife told me in one of our nightly conversations that my car battery must have died because the car would not start. I did not tell her that you had to put the clutch in on this car before it would start. I just told her to leave it until I got home and I would take care of it. When I got home I went out and started the car and went for a drive. When I got back home my wife asked me what I had done to get it started. I told her I had used a can of instant start. ;-)

Apparently she was unfamiliar with driving a manual transmission because every one I've had since I began driving in the early 1970's, you had the push in the clutch to start the engine.

Although I don't own a 77D, I am familiar with the camera. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by, it should shoot 4K, why? Unless you are a professional videographer or plan on displaying on a large screen, 4K video isn't really that big a deal. I'd bet that many of the people who won't buy a camera because it doesn't shoot 4K, rarely use video anyway. They just like saying their camera has 4K.
The 77D is the crossover between the xxD series and the Rebel series and like all Canon DSLR'S, is well made and built to last. I did not buy a 77D because I don't really need one. I already own an 80D and an M50 so a 77D would be quite redundant.

No, not read the specs on any of these. Though a bit less expensive, I would never see myself buying a non-corporate lens, for various reasons that most don't need to care about. Is this lens BETTER than a top of the line Canikon??? Maybe just me!?
SS

Why do you say Canikon, they are two entirely separate non related companies. Sigma is a corporation. I believe I understand why you don't buy lenses made by a company other than the camera body manufacturer, probably the same reason why I have only three Sigma lenses and one Tamron. Let's say a Sigma lens was specifically designed and built for Canon bodies, not just adapted, would you consider buying one?

Hello Margie and welcome to the UHH. I'm relatively new around here also, joined a few months back. I've never used a G16 but I do own a few PowerShot cameras. My first was the G10, followed by a G11 then a G12, which I've misplaced somewhere in my house full of stuff. I also have a G1X, G1X III my favorite pocket camera, a G1X III. Enjoy the forum and don't be shy.

Tell credit card to get $ 200.00 more and get D750.

That would not be a good compromise. Yes, the D750 is full frame, but full frame isn't everything and the D750 doesn't have the functionality of the D500. Now, if all the OP was interested in is portrait photography then I may agree with you.

I wouldn't buy either one personally because my need and want is else where. Now if you make me choose between the 2? I would pick the D7200 for about 2/3 the price of the D7500.

Sounds to me like you are basing your decision not on product knowledge, but on cost. Not really what the OP was going for but there certainly is logic to it.
