Thanks for all the comments! I'm sure glad I had my camera with me - it supports the advice to look for local festivals to get some really fun photos.

We took a break from skiing Saturday to watch part of the 109th annual Winter Carnival in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Snow was brought in to cover Lincoln Avenue for the events. Three-legged races are more challenging on skis.

It was very cold...

That ME Super is a fine camera, so compact! I used my father's for several years then left it at a park. I bought a replacement on eBay for fun a couple of years ago since I still had the nice Pentax SMC lenses.

Something else to try: Look at the list of available networks. Select the one you want and tell the device to "forget" the network. Then look for available again, and choose it. This has worked for me when a router was replaced but the network name and password were set up to be the same.

That's how I remember the weather from when I lived in Blasdell in 1976 to 1978. Moving to Boulder was a huge improvement.

Hi, Liam. I wrote this for others who have film to convert. Download the PDF.

Wow, that's outside the box. Since the images are transparent, I wonder how to handle the background. I have a 100mm macro so I might give this a try.

There are backlight options on the internet - you only need a few square inches of white background. An LED panel works well. I tried a white background using my iPhone, but the red, green, and blue pixels in the "white" source are quite apparent. You should mask all the light source beyond the edge of the slide to prevent glare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMS31ZSy3kk

One could also use a macro lens with a stand, capture it in raw, and then have the advantages of adjusting that kind of image.

Do pay close attention to the permissions you grant Venmo when signing up. You can use it without sharing your contact list, which they would LIKE for you to agree to, but is a bad idea.

The launch was awesome! I laughed at my own reaction to the live-streamed image when, after the rocket disappeared above the clouds, that there were dirty sensor marks visible. I guess it's hard to stop analyzing images!

Very pretty, and a great photo. Our tour bus drove slowly past it in 2005, I did get a glimpse. It thought it was called Tangle Creek Falls?
