No one bothered you at either place? Were there many cars there? I'm surprised because of the restricted driving guideline put out by Oregon- thought maybe they would have Baskett gated off somehow. Hmm. The 4th picture has a bill like a shoveler but the coloration looks more like a Cinnamon Teal. Glad to see that the eagles are still hanging around.

No one bothered me at either place. A few cars at Ankeny and about 7-8 at Basket at the parking lot for hiking trails. There is no law in Oregon restricting travel. In fact hiking and jogging are specifically mentioned as being allowed. Social distance of at least 6 feet is required. The guideline is just that. It was prompted by too many people going to the beach and the beach being crowded. So the police have a tool to work with if people go to crowded places for recreational purposes only.

I too was pleased to see the eagles..

You did well, nice pictures. That T3i is a darn good camera.

Thank you. I did not see that I transposed the T and the 3 until seeing your post. Have a great and blessed day!

love all the pictures but the Salmon berry is just great. Is it edible like the blackberry. Also I don't see thorn on the stem. Can't remember this berry and that is strange as I lived in Washington for two years and I am not an indoors person. Thanks for sharing.

Edible. Somewhat bland though but refreshing. These were by waterfalls. No thorns. Somewhat prolific near water in the coastal ranges of WA and OR. Have a nice day.

Nice photos. Not fireweed. The unidentified white one is called Ocean Spray. And yep, that's a waterfall all right!

I do not know the identity of the stream on which this waterfall is located.
