Thank you. I did not see that I transposed the T and the 3 until seeing your post. Have a great and blessed day!

No one bothered you at either place? Were there many cars there? I'm surprised because of the restricted driving guideline put out by Oregon- thought maybe they would have Baskett gated off somehow. Hmm. The 4th picture has a bill like a shoveler but the coloration looks more like a Cinnamon Teal. Glad to see that the eagles are still hanging around.

No one bothered me at either place. A few cars at Ankeny and about 7-8 at Basket at the parking lot for hiking trails. There is no law in Oregon restricting travel. In fact hiking and jogging are specifically mentioned as being allowed. Social distance of at least 6 feet is required. The guideline is just that. It was prompted by too many people going to the beach and the beach being crowded. So the police have a tool to work with if people go to crowded places for recreational purposes only.

I too was pleased to see the eagles..

Well in that case I am sooo bored at home. I read the governor's guidelines and I understood it to say that travel was for essentials only-groceries, pharmacy and the like. Perhaps I "over - interrupted" what I read. Thanks for posting.

I agree with you---the 4th pic looks more like a Cinnamon Teal (after looking at pics on the internet).

Wellll...Maybe. But look at the pattern on the back. And the white edges on the tail. The shoveler is chunky, the Teal is slimmer and smaller. In all of my guide books the Shoveler is present in Oregon all year. The Teal is there in Spring through the breeding season. Is March breeding season in Oregon? Maybe, I'm not sure. I guess I could go either way. If we could see it flying it would be easy to tell.
