The most annoying thing about most HDR images is the halos around dark objects. It really exaggerates the adjacency effect which can occur in photographs. It's a very difficult issue to deal with.
Good Images. Both the White Place and Black Place are nearby -- sort of, at least within 100 miles. Truly interesting and bizarre places to visit.

Generally good exposures except for the third image which is just bad HDR.

Very good images, irregardless of post processing. High skill level! The second image of the night sky is my fave!
Good Pictures. Bad HDR. I think doing competent HDR requires a fair amount of post processing skill.
