As I have the time, I am continuing to process my photos from last summer's trip. Here are some from Munich. This large city is not quite as picturesque as some of the smaller medieval towns. However, I found the older section quite interesting, including the beer gardens. The bachelor party was also fun to watch. Hope you enjoy.

Looks like you ran all the images through an HDR app. Very colorful. I just returned from a Budapest to Prague Viking Cruise. Lots of fun, lots of photos!
Enjoyed the photos as we were in Munich last Fall. If you are there again check out some of the small medieval cities that are only a hour or so train ride away. We took day trips to Augsburg, Ingolstadt, and Regensburg. They have some great photo opportunities.

Why the hdr treatment during perfectly lit daytime?

Thanks for looking, David. I do various types of processing, some of which is HDR. Not for everyone, but I like it. Viking cruises are very enjoyable. Have done a couple. Have taken thousands of photos.

Thanks for looking! Glad you enjoyed. I have been to a number of medieval towns on this trip and did enjoy many great photo ops. Lots of fun.

I like the look. It’s not for everyone, but I like it.

Nice shots in the historic part of Munich. We’ve been there twice in the past year and love it. We take the train to Burghausen to visit family, about an hour and a half south on the Austrian border. Gorgeous castle there. Also spent four nights in Prague after train ride from Munich. Hire a private tour guide, the best way to see the city of Prague. Tours of Nuremberg and Dachau are accessible by short train rides out of Munich, well worth it. Passau is a really nice mideval city, at the confluence of the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers. All of these places provide plenty of photo opportunities and enjoyable traveling in Europe.

Thanks for looking! Glad you liked them. On this trip we did go to Nuremberg and Passau. Will post pictures in a while. Stay tuned. Many years ago we had the opportunity to visit Dachau.

I have to agree with Speters. But your photos, your preference. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say.
I agree with a previous comment, that the pictures look like they were processed with an HDR app. I have Photomatix and my shots come out very similar. Did you use a tripod? We are going on a similar trip that starts in the Swiss Alps, moves on to the Rhine river at Basel and cruises down to Amsterdam. It's an alumni group trip with a professor and local guides and I know from previous trips that there isn't much time to set up a tripod. Anybody has any ideas to offer to solve this dilemma?
