Does the SonyRX10v4 have animal eye tracking and if so how do you select it?

These are not from the "godan1 Collection". I took these at a local show here in Michigan in 2019.

However, I thought they fit right in for the year 1960, so I thought I'd include them.

I think Mr. Johnson is a ex Chrysler styling collogue!!!!

Why do I love mirrorless? Let me count the ways:

1. Smaller body by removing the space needed for that yesteryear flapping mirror.
2. IBIS that turns every lens into a stabilized lens, even the golden oldies of the manual focus, pre-electronic ages.
3. EVF with shimmering highlights of the plane of focus.
4. Histogram available for display in electronic view finder (EVF).
5. Detailed 10x zoom in EVF.
6. Silent (not a single noise) shutter.
7. Extreme frames per second, 20+.
8. Image playback in EVF for review when LCD impossible to see in bright light.
9. Image playback at 10x zoom in EVF.
10. Sharper mirrorless lens designs.
11. More ultra fast lenses as sharp wide open as any stepped down DSLR lens ever.
12. One digital platform supporting portfolio of legacy DSLR lenses, legacy SLR lenses and modern mirrorless lenses.
13. Autofocus beyond f/8 for extended configurations.
14. Platform for any / all ongoing technology advancements in digital photography.
15. EVF that displays the results of the image before shooting.
16. EVF that allows for ad hoc updates like boosting the ISO for a brighter focus view, then restore ISO and shoot, without even lowering the camera from a shooting position.
17. Entire frame available for selective AF position.

I'm sure I missed probably several others.

The bird was shot on about a 45 degree angle as it turned to make a 180 turn to reverse its direction. I cannot guaranty the sky angle is perfect, but close. I was impressed with the auto masking that luminar produced!!!

I think you are right on track!!! I am considering keeping my DLSR for wildlife and selling all but my long range zooms and extenders and buying a $1000 camera phone for all of the other day to day photo's. Now the 64$ question which phone to purchase????

I wonder what the old "National Geographic" photographer, who spent six months in the wilderness, eating tree bark and insects thinks about todays digital systems? I guess it is progress, but I sometime wonder, as I get in my Tesler with the Honda gas generator in the trunk, if we are better or just luckier.

...I went back and forth, Wimbly to RRS, and ended up getting a Neewer for, I dunno, a buck fifty or so? I pre-googled and found that the packing grease was heavy, hindering motion, but there is a fix, which is rather easy, to thin it out (YouTube)...so I bought, brought my vast tooling to bear, and it works like a charm. Nothing to compare it to, but it's smooth. Carbon fiber, too. <shrug> Had it since pre-covid and actually used it quite a bit shooting surfing...looking forward to the next airshow I can get to...

I also wound up with the Neewer gimbal head and agree with this reply. I spent maybe 1hour tops cleaning and re-lubing this device and it works perfectly. I did have to purchase there 100mm mount to balance with my canon 90d and 100-400 lens but it works just fine. I have to admit I use a ball head the majority of the time just do to the reduced wait and bulk but if I am shooting flying birds or video it works fine. There are several Youtube video that can take you through the re-lube process. I also would recommend the carbon fiber version to save weight.

What I have for casual use. $27 can't be beat. Many pockets, but not too bulky, very cool and breathable, and several color selections. But sizes run small.

Great reply!!! So refreshing to see a reply that address the issue rather then a sarcastic comment of no practical value.
