Yes, that "Lifetime" seemed like a good idea, until it expired.

Decades ago, NEC introduced the "Multisync Monitor." The idea was that it would be compatible with any computer system going into the future. That lasted about a year.

Look online for recording on Tivo without cable. It doesn't look good.

"Lifetime" is legally accepted as being 5 years. My "lifetime" vpn sub lasted 5 years. My Ford dealer told me the same about our Taurus. Apple stores say the same, about Macs and iPhones. In LaLaLand, builders and contractors tried to get it down to 3 years, but the PTBs kept it at 5 years.
I had TIVO until Comcast wanted to charge me extra for it. These days I use my Tablo and Roku boxes.
Also in LaLam I have an external OTA antenna replacing my Dish (another story). I get 140 "free" channels. And like a Spectrum "local channels" listing, maybe 40 are worth (for me) watching. Tho on occasion I may find the 2 young ffemale presenters on the Vietnamese Shopping Network channel amusing as they argue scream and throw stuff.
We don't have fiber-yet- but AT&T is getting ready. We now have a green AND a blue box on the wall. amusingly, as soon as we had both boxed Spectrum raises our Internet speed- by double- something they said couldn't be done! Boost is also installing in our area- competition always helps!

Jerry, Hulu and Sling are not cheaper. You need to check what you're getting: live programming (and local channels as mentioned above), how many channels, which channels (sports are always more expensive), and the amount of online DVR storage space.

According to a quick google search, Hulu and Sling programming can be recorded to a TiVo (with "special" apps or whatnot), but there is no reason to do that unless you want more than 50 hours of recording available to you at all times with Sling (Hulu has unlimited storage)

Hi Honey!
Just like various bundles of Elements, Black Friday sales are worth waiting for.
And jumping on!
Because of these sales, I get both Elements for @ $60/bundle, every other year.
Hulu and Curiosity Stream are @ $2.00 each a month to me; I have to agree to autopay for a year, but that's OK.
I have a Tablo2, and a 14tb Seagate just for movies, after I render thru Premier Elements:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/project-settings-presets.html
Tho I'm checking out Topaz AI to see what that could do me.

And SF CA is becoming a business ghost town with retail stores, restaurants etc . leaving as well.
Now it is a dump of feces, needles and human debris.

Because of the Conservatives.
They needed to centralize their bureaucracies. And then underfunded them.
so you have places like SF and LA in Kalifornie Baltimore, etc.
A disabled American Vet can wait up to 6 months between appointments.
And may not be allowed to show income during that time.
Pretty much the same with American Citizens being homeless, disabled, etc.
In the meantime, a Conservative heard of some people having sex in a public restroom.
Horrors! He got involved. The PTBs lost their case as the utility charged for it's services.
That meant, legally, rent. They were not in public. Americans were set free.
From then on, no public restrooms.
American People are stuck in a centralized common area with no services.
But it's OK! The upper class folk don't live near there anyway.

Texas rancher Wayne King didn't mince words when asked who is responsible for the border chaos expected to worsen with the end of Title 42.

"Wake up," he urged Biden. "Come down here and live among us for about a month and go from ranch to ranch and see what all we go through. Have him sit in a bedroom and have them bang on the windows and doors…"

King, who joined Fox News legal and political analyst Gregg Jarrett for an exclusive interview featured in Fox Nation's special "Biden's Border Crisis: The End of Title 42" even said his neighbors have gotten up in the middle of the night and found migrants sitting at their kitchen table.

"That's what we live through down here," he said.

Despite the blame from King and others in similar situations, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre previously claimed Biden's policies had curbed i*****l i*********n by 90%, a statement King grilled as an "outright lie."

"She has no clue," he criticized. "Nobody from the Washington [D.C.] area that supposedly are out to protect us, nobody's come down here and lived through this… it's a travesty down here."

Among the members of the Biden administration brought under scrutiny were Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who King claimed visited the border only briefly, but failed to listen to locals' concerns.

The other was Vice President Kamala Harris, the administration's designated border czar, who was lambasted for her 2020 trip to El Paso by critics who claimed she failed to visit the epicenter of the crisis.

"Just the other day, we caught five on camera that were from the Middle East," he told Jarrett. "I had a water murderer from Guatemala caught just 100 yards off my fence line. These [are the people] that are coming in, and nobody realizes that because it's not common knowledge to the American people what actually happens."

Though he pins a majority of the blame on Biden and his administration, he didn't omit Republicans and congressional Democrats from the equation.

He also blamed the mainstream media for failing to communicate the severity of the crisis to the American people.

"It's all for the Democrats," he said. "And I'm not trying to lay blame totally on the Democrats, but there's enough Republicans up there that something ought to be done to stop this… everybody up there on the hill – Republican or Democrat – has forgotten what they're up there for and forgotten who they're working for."

King said the crisis poses such a threat to his family's safety that he keeps a firearm at his side at all times. He also criticized the end of Title 42 as the "biggest joke" the U.S. could witness.

And the Red Slime wants Biden to cut benefits to Americans out of the other half.
Wanna fix that Bozo?
Minimum Tax on all gross income. Mandatory. No excuses. Too bad, so sad.
Limit military funding to no more than 25%. We're not at war on anybody but ourselves.
I know these people h**e that "history" stuff, but
Americans v**e Repugs because they believe in Peace and Prosperity-
And then they v**e Dimocrats to fix what the last guy lied about.

I quote your post: Biden tells young people that signed contracts mean nothing.

Biden wants college students to know that beside the fact that they signed a student loan contract with a bank, they can ignore the legal paperwork and they will not have to pay it all back.

Where does Biden SAY any of that crap you have posted? You INFER an awful lot, but where does he SAY that crap you posted? None of your BS applies here.

You should know him by now.

Yeah, ummm Disney has already laid off 7,000 workers. The big rumoer here in LALALand (disny's home) is that Disney will open a ew park near Las Vegas, and start moving out of Florida.

There used to be many stories of African American families being stopped by Broward County police over the years. Big family, out-of-state plates, going towards Disney. Kop finds that Dad has quite a bit of cash, declares it drug related, confiscates it and drives off. SOP in the Red South.

also, medically, many of us who have collected extensive amounts of experience points can get TIAs. Mini strokes. The "mini" label is at the perspective of your Insurance- paid doctor. Mine was- I couldn't walk a straight line up the stairs unassisted anymore. I had to hold the railing- then no problem. Otherwise I'd bounce into it.
They say most people get over them- that means you acclimate and adjust, but are still qualified to work. As an IT Tech, that meant I was still fully capable and I was in no danger to myself or others, so no recorded diagnosis either. Whacky advice as to prevention, that's it.

Vertigo didn't look like that to me, tho.
I'd just fall over. Literally. Fast turns, stops and starts- thump.
I tried Epley- doc said sometimes it works wonders.
Every time I tried, THEN I'd get the vertigo like that picure.
For about four hours,
*sigh*
Did you see the movie "Riddick"? where the bad guy moves- and then his other self catches up?
That's me these days. I have that 2 second hesitation- and then I'm good.
I can walk a few miles in a straight line. A couple fast turns in the kitchen and I'm hanging onto something.

It once was mentioned out here that a certain conservative group has been harassing them.
Explosives, darts, sticks, stones, even underwater speakers.
They were complaining that orcas were stealing "our" fish, and watching the trawlers.
so- we need to do something!
