He says he has a stable of DX and FX lens so presumably he has taken this into account.
Yes, I have a few older lenses, Nikon 70-300 VR, 90mm macro (Tamron), 100mm Nikon, and 28mm. The last 2 are older primes but very good quality. I figured the 28-105 would be a good walk around lens and it would be comfortable with my older lenses. Besides, it fit my remaining funds and now U'm out of $$$.
Update - to all who responded, thanks! After considering the various suggestions, I chose a D750 with 48K shutter count for less than $700 from a private seller.
I'm still learning the various camera functions and waiting for a Nikon 28-105 lens, so I hope to be posting some shots soon.
very well done! Thanks for sharing.
Actually, they can be useful in evaluating old lenses from, Zeiss, Kodak, and others, some old Glass is radioactive.

Thank you all for your comments. It was good to get other perspectives and in the end, I'n going for a D750 because it has a similar user interface, can use my existing FX lenses, and because it scratches my itch!
I asked this question because, over the years, I've learned that many heads are better than one - and the heads on here are some of the best I've seen when it comes to photography. Thanks again!
I did some quick math. 200,000 is a LOT more than 2,000!
Been shooting film since the 70s My lenses include 28 mm. 50 mm, 55 mm macro 90 mm macro, 100mm 70-300 mm, and 600 mm so I think I'm covered.

D750 is a marvelous camera! A no-brainer for your budget.
Thanks - appreciate your thoughts.
I have a Nikon D7100 and a stable of DX and FX lenses, along with 3 SB800 flash units (don't ask!)
I'm looking for a full frame camera to compliment my D7100 and have been considering a D750. My budget is about $700 which should work for a used D750 body in good condition.
I'm wondering if anyone has any other suggestions to consider. The budget is fairly firm, so that rules out the D850.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
I bought a lottery ticket once, I didn't win. I'm done with that.
Besides, I married the woman of my dreams, survived a war, survived the 911 attacks, and have 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, so I've probably used up all my good luck!
Maybe with exorbitant gas prices, more people will consider travel by train for long distance. 'Course that would mean Amtrak would need to upgrade its cars and service, so they'd probably raise prices due to inflation!
