I bought a Panasonic ZS70 last summer. Worked great. All of a sudden recently, it stopped working properly. Really weird. It still takes great pictures, but, after taking a picture it won't zoom unless I change the more dial. Then it zooms. Take another picture, then I have to change the mode dial again before I can even take another picture. At first I thought I screwed up one of the settings. I tried to reset the menus to factory settings. Still playing with it a bit before I send it back. Just in case I screwed it up. Still under warantee.
Photography is: All of the above. (That's 4 words).
Watched it on TV. It was amazing. I was at the Belmont stakes in 1971 when Canonero II was trying to win the Triple Crown. Didn't make it.
My wife won't appreciate this one. Her husband's name is Warren.
My understanding is that retail outlets that do business out of state (mail order or internet) are only responsible to collect sales tax for states that they have outlets in. They aren't responsible to collect other states sales tax. Now that B and H has a warehouse (?) in NJ, they charge me sales tax when I order through their website. Before they opened in NJ, they did not charge me sales tax.
Don't think they do. Perhaps the honor system?
Don't know if other states do the same, but in New Jersey, when you file your state income tax return, you are supposed to list purchases that you made from out of state where you did not pay NJ sales tax. They get you then.
I remember the Kodak Instamatics. Came out in the early 1960's. Fixed aperature and shutter speed. The instruction booklet said that in low light situations where you did not want flash, put a used flashbulb in place. The camera would detect a bulb and lengthen the shutter speed. When people would ask why I did that, it made me feel like a "real" photographer when I told them. I was 13 and didn't know how much I didn't know.
Beautiful. We were there almost 6 years ago. Waiting to go back.
Of course, it was a "Great Year". (My natural inclination is to understate the obvious).
I retired July 1st and we became grandparents August 4th. So it was a pretty good year.
