Follow up

Not to sound harsh before, but Here's how I had envisioned this photo shoot.. the model should NOT had purple hair.. she should have worn a frilly dress that flows as she walks. then ask her to walk down the bridge (away from the camera) looking over her shoulder, maybe even laughing at you. Maybe even have her hop, skip jump a few times as if she's excited that it's snowing.. common people, let's be a bit more creative..

It’s not every day you get to shoot a goth with purple hair.

Nice setting and the shots show you know how to use the camera settings. Based on what you have stated, this model needs direction/training - give her some thoughts on how to pose. You could frame the shots a bit differently. The model seems to be in the middle of most of your shots - try moving her off center. Also, watch the hands and feet. If you are going to crop them off do it deliberately. #6 is the worst example of this, but I think #4 &#5 would be stronger cropped a bit to get the leg out and make the hand crop appear intentional. Moving closer in the field or cropping at bust level in post would solve this.

Finally, as you stated, these are clearly available light shots on a cloudy day (God’s big softbox). The model’s eyes are rather dark in most of the shots. If you have a speedlight, stand and a way of triggering it off camera, using that, even with just 1 light, will vastly improve these shots.

I understand the descision. Example. If you apply for a home mortgage, you can't pay for the house untill the mortgage is approved. Same kind of thing with the new decision.

No, it’s more like you get your mortgage and the lender has to file to protect their interest. That process takes months to a year. They cannot collect payments til the government has acted on their application.

Their is not much difference in weight when compared to most mirrorless models. There is a common misconception that mirrorless weight significantly less than DSLR's. They are smaller, but not that much lighter or smaller.

Wrong. I have a D500 and an X-T2. There is a significant size and weight difference between the two.

Nikon D500.

Completely fits the bill, except for the smaller and more portable part.

Getting a clear shot from a warm car in the cooler weather can be problematic. Heat from the cabin creates heat waves as it escapes into the outside world.

Legal rights mean little. The social

.

To which brand of social contract theory do you ascribe - Grotius, Rousseau, Locke, Hobbes, Pufendorf or Kant? Without understanding that much, we cannot hope to make sense of your comment.

In general, social contract theory states that law and political order are not natural, but rather are human inventions. The social contract and the resulting political order are simply the means towards an end -the benefit of the individuals involved - and are legitimate only when they uphold their part of the contract. Given that social contract theory relies on the law, and in this case there is no law to support your position, I am at a loss to see where you are coming from.

My street gear is either a X-T2 with a 23/2.0 or a F100 with a 35/2.0. In either case, I ditch the grip. Occasionally, I use the original Lensbaby on a D500. The lensbaby does get attention though.

You might want to try the lens on your bodies. In some cases a lens will be shown as incompatible when only the VR won’t work. Since no VR will work in your bodies, you aren’t missing anything. Such is the case with my Tamron 24-70/2.8 G2 and my D200 & F100. Others combos just won’t work.
