My d200 that was made 2001 has 2 battery in the geip and no battery in the camera
You can put 2 battery's in that mb d17? I have the same one only 1 battery in the grip and 1 battery in the camera.
What is the model number of the nikon grip I am interested in getting one for my d500 only because mine only hold 1 battery. Thanks
Scott
What kind of camera is it mine is a d500 1 battery in the camera 1 battery in the grip. I feel this is a poor design I am wondering what other people think. And also what they do. So far what I have got from people on uhh is I can get a bigger battery and need to stop viewing the pictures on the lcd screen so much.
So help me out here please, I have the en el15 battery they have a bigger battery an 18 that last longer then the 15? Cause with me the 15 only last about 800 pictures I'm not sure camera is to new for me.
Yes I did not know it when I got it it would have been like that I would have got a different camera. Cause I hate the battery setup . On the d500.
Jules , you like the way nikon set up the d500 battery grip with one battery in the camera and one out? So every time that batery needs a charge you have to remove the grip remove the battery replace the battery and put it back together. Sounds like alot of work. Am I seeing this wrong or doing something wrong?
Scott
Very sorry , the grip is great , the fact that 1 battery is in the camera and 1 battery is out of the camera is a real pain in the neck for me I don't know about anyone else but I'm not liking it.

Hello i just got the d500 not to long ago great camera for me love it. But im not to happy with the battery grip. I went from the d200 to the d500. Is there any reason that nikon designed the 500 battery grip the way they did I can not figure out why they did that. Does anyone know of a after market grip that is sold. I am not happy with the grip at all. Thanks scott
I just went from a d200 to a d500, the 500 is much faster and similar in operation then the 200, I thought I was pretty good at photography, and when I first picked up the 500 and the first 300 pictures were not good. It was not the camera it was the user. I have alot to learn about the new technology of the d500.
Now that is the kind of response I like to hear thank you very much.
Really ? I know what to expect, I have done my research and homework. Just thought it would be nice to hear what other people that have made the move might something better to say then what you have said. Thanks for the good talk. Have a great day.
Thank you for that tip, nikon is throwing the grip in for me.
Scott
Thanks. I have no plans to get rid of the 200 it's a great camera for me. It just time to upgrade and I wanted the video option.
Ok thank you for that info. I will be getting the 500 just a few hundred left on the balance. And yes the 200 for a backup
