Drove a 928 for about 20 years, loved it. My initial reaction to a 928 was, what's not to like about a front-engine, V-8, rear wheel drive Porsche.
That might work fine, but not sure about the speed. The PCLinq5 cable was pretty quick, as I remember.

This sounds like the Tolland Tunnel/Rollins Pass area. Went over that ~40+ years ago when it was still open - parts of it rough as a cob back then. Great ride for keeping your heart rate up, especially if you look down occasionally!

I've been running a Davis Vantage Pro 2, wireless version, for about 10 years with no issues other than battery replacement.
I bought a full-sized one recently to cut hard steel mast tubing into small pieces for my ham radio antenna - worked well, much better than the Steel Demon blade I tried first.
